Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
ASSAULT: On July 31 at 3:39 a.m., officers responded to the area of Pinefield Road and  Pinefield Way in Waldorf for a call about disorderly subjects. When officers arrived, they found a man lying face down in the grass. Upon further investigation, the officers learned the man had just been assaulted by two people he knew. One of the suspects hit the victim with a metal bar and the other suspect punched him. Both suspects fled prior to arrival. The victim was transported to the UMD Charles Regional Medical Center and treated for injuries he sustained in the assault. PDC D. Walker is investigating.

BURGLARY REPORTED: On July 30, during the daytime hours, someone broke into a house in the 10700 block of Cheryl Turn in Waldorf and stole TVs, purses, money and a gun. It is not clear how the suspects gained entry. PFC C. Barrowsis investigating.

THEFT OF COPPER: On July 30, during the daytime hours, someone stole used copper and telephone wire from the 4000 block of Doncaster Drive in Indian Head. Cpl. R. Cadrette is investigating.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY: On July 29 at 1:51 a.m., someone tried to break into a building in the 4200 block of Piney Church Road in Waldorf. The suspect(s) was not successful and fled after the alarm sounded. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.
ROBBERY: On July 28 at 8:35 p.m., officers responded to the 10100 block of Bruns Avenue in White Plains for the report of a robbery. The victim stated he was exiting his vehicle when a  male wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans and a bandana around his mouth ran up to him pointing a handgun. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and stole the victim’s cash and two cell phones. The suspect and another male fled to a red passenger car which pulled up after the assault. Prior to this event, the victim had just left a bank at Waldorf Market Place where he withdrew money. It’s not clear if the suspects followed him home after leaving the bank. Cpl K.D. Prince William County Police Department Incident Report
Incidents and arrests released on:                                                                             Thursday, July 31, 2014               
 
 
                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Residential Burglary – On July 30th at 6:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11100 block of Lonesome Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM on July 29th and 6:00PM on July 30th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a cottage on the property. There were no signs of forced entry into the dwelling. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A handgun and gaming console, total value around $1,200, were reported missing. The cottage was not occupied at the time of the offense.
 
Residential Burglary – On July 30th at 1:59PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Counselor Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between an unknown time on April 1st and 1:59PM on July 30th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through a window. Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 30th at 9:08AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Serendipity Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that someone was attempting to kick open their basement level door. The suspects fled the area prior to officers arriving in the area. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. A caller reported to police that three suspicious men, possibly juveniles, were seen in the area prior to the burglary call. A police K-9 and helicopter assistance were used to search for the suspects who are believed to have run to a nearby vehicle and fled the area.

Black male, between 16 & 18 years of age, 5’10”, 150lbs with a thin build, dark complexion and long black dreadlocks

THURSDAY, JULY 31, 2014
 
LARCENY: 
First Christian Church, 1501 Washington Ave, 7/30 4:00 p.m. A parishioner reported that she 
witnessed an unknown man stealing envelopes containing checks from the mailbox outside the 
church. An officer patrolling on Princess Anne Street later located a man matching the 
description of the suspect and detained him. The suspect led the officer to where he had stashed 
the stolen checks. Deshon Shelton, 27, of no fixed address was arrested for three counts of 
felony larceny and two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Shelton was incarcerated at the 
Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. 
600 block Greenbrier Ct, 7/25 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person stole his television and damaged a second one. Both TVs had been stored in an 
unsecured Uhaul truck in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
VANDALISM: 
900 block Charles St, 7/28 – 7/30 11:00 a.m. The property owner reported that an unknown 
person spray painted graffiti on the rear of the building. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1800 block Caroline St, 6/29 – 7/29 5:00 p.m. A property owner reported that an unknown 
person cut the locks securing site. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
ARRESTS: 
Luis Garcia, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On July 28th at 3:04PM, officers responded to the Bank of America located at 4191 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 72 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he just withdrew money from the outside ATM when he was approached by an unknown man. The man ran up to the victim and immediately grabbed his wallet before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
                Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 6’3”, 180lbs with a medium build, light complexion, a clean shaven face and short hair
Last seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt and tan pants
 
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 29th at 3:33AM, officers responded to the area of Lawnvale Dr and Sudley Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a firearms violation. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area above. Officers arrived in the area and located several shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported.
 
Residential Burglary – On July 29th at 6:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 19000 block of Bethlehem Church Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured window. No property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**
 
Rape | Forcible Sodomy – On July 27th at 10:28PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the two victims, a 12 year old girl and an 11 year old girl – both of Woodbridge, were both sexually assaulted by three juvenile males. The victims and suspects were known to one another. Following the investigation, the juveniles were identified and charged on July 28th.
                Arrested on July 28th:
                A 17 year old male juvenile and a 16 year old male juvenile – both of Woodbridge
                Charged with rape and forcible sodomy

Malicious Wounding | Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 29th at 10:38PM, officers responded to the 2900 block of Fox Lair Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic incident. A caller reported to police that a woman was heard screaming from one of the apartments in the above area. Officers arrived and continued to hear screaming. After officers attempted to get someone to answer the door, they forced entry into the residence. Once inside, officers separated and identified the parties involved. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assault the victim and, at one point, began to choke her. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On July 27th at 11:20AM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 38 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a broken chair leg and struck the victim in the face and arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
WEDNESDAY, JULY 30, 2014 
 
ROBBERY: 
1100 Townsend Blvd, 7/30 1:45 a.m. The resident of an apartment, a 33-year-old male, reported 
that he answered a knock at his door and someone asking for his roommate by name. When he 
opened the door, three male subjects pushed their way inside and ordered him to the floor at 
gunpoint. They also forced his roommate, a 48-year-old male, out of the bedroom where he had 
been sleeping and then stole a quantity of cash that was inside the apartment. Two additional 
occupants of the apartment, 19-year-old female and a 22-year-old male, also witnessed the 
incident. The offenders were described as black males in their 20s, approximately 6’ and 175 
pounds. One of the offenders had a mustache and was wearing a red baseball cap and a blue or 
black windbreaker. The offenders fled from the scene prior to police arrival. The investigation 
is ongoing. 
BURGLARY: 
Nader’s Grocery, 508 Caroline St, 7/29 3:30 a.m. The owner reported that an unknown person 
broke the glass in the front door, entered the business and stole merchandise. Surveillance video 
showed the suspect as a white male 18-21 years of age, approximately 5’9” and 140 pounds. He 
was wearing a white or light gray hooded sweatshirt with a zipper and dark colored pants. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
VEHICLE TAMPERING: 
Parking Garage, 600 Sophia St, 7/28 5:50 a.m. – 5:50 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown 
person entered her locked vehicle and pulled down the lower dashboard covers inside the car. 
Surveillance video showed a male subject using a tool to gain access to the vehicle. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 7/29 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A shopper reported that an 
unknown person stole her wallet from her cart inside the store. The victim’s credit cards were 
later used to make purchases at area stores. The investigation is ongoing. 
VANDALISM: 
Boys and Girls Club, 200 Gunnery Rd, 7/25 – 7/29 8:00 a.m. The director reported that an 
unknown person broke out the rear window of the club’s transport bus. No suspects or witnesses 
at this time. 
200 block Morningside Dr, 7/28 – 7/29 9:15 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
broke out the driver’s door window on her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Funland, 1351 Central Park Blvd, 7/29 12:30 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown 
person broke out a window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
La Petite Auberge, 311 William St, 7/27 – 7/28 1:00 p.m. The owner reported that an unknown 
person spray painted graffiti on the transformer box at the rear of the business. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time. 
ARRESTS: 
Laqueta Webb, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from King George charging her 
with assault and battery. 
Ladonna Mason, 40, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from CVS. 
Catherine Burt, 54, of Colonial Beach was arrested for trespassing. 
Deangelo White, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from King George charging 
him with possession of a forged bank note and possession of marijuana.

Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports

MAN CHARGED WITH STEALING CAR AND DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On July 28 at 12:05 a.m., PFC J. Clagett responded to Robinson Place in Waldorf for the report of a reckless driver. When PFC Clagett arrived, he observed the operator of a car driving at a high rate of speed and he initiated a traffic stop. When PFC Clagett approached the car, the driver refused to give his name and the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Through investigation, PFC Clagett learned the identity of the driver and a computer check revealed the man’s driver’s license was suspended. It was later learned the suspect worked as a mechanic and he took a client’s car without consent.James Steven Lancaster, Jr., 27, of Bel Alton, was arrested and charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft, fraud and multiple traffic violations.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Sometime between July 26 to July 27, someone opened an unlocked car in the 200 block of Indian Head Avenue in Indian Head and stole a guitar, a computer and a computer bagPFC D. Raby is investigating.
STRONG-ARM ROBBERY: On July 26 at 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of an assault. When officers arrived, they learned two men were behind a business drinking and one of the men stole a box of cigarettes and a Snickers bar from the other man. The victim attempted to stop the suspect but the suspect assaulted him. Officers located the suspect a short distance away. Daniel Smelcher, 41, who has no fixed address, was arrested and charged with theft and strong-arm robbery. PFC M. Sokoloff investigated.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY: On July 24 at 3 a.m., two suspects attempted to pry open the doors of a liquor store in the 12500 block of Mattawoman Drive in Waldorf. When they were unable to get the doors open, the suspects stole a U-Haul van and drove it into the liquor store’s front doors, causing significant damage to the building. Entry was not gained and the suspects fled on Crain Highway. The U-Haul van was located shortly afterwards on Nike Drive. The vehicle was still running but the suspects fled. Officer A. Duckett is investigating.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH/DRIVER CHARGED WITH DUI: On July 22 at 10:45 p.m., PFC P. Alvarez attempted to stop a car that was traveling without its headlights on near Smallwood Drive West. The driver refused to stop and accelerated, turning onto St. Patrick’s Drive near Billingsley Road where the driver lost control, left the roadway and crashed into several trees. The driver jumped out of the car and fled but returned a short time later. The driver appeared to be impaired. Eugene Franklin Washington, Jr., 48, of Waldorf was treated at a hospital and later charged with driving under the influence and possession of drugs.
ROBBERY REPORTED:  On July 25 at 11:20 p.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Robinson Place in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. The victim, a 36-year-old male, said he heard his front doorbell ring. When he answered,  three to five males approached, pulled a gun and told him to empty his pockets. The suspects fled with the victim’s cell phone and money. PFC D. W. Walker is investigating.
BURGLARY SUSPECTS APPREHENDED: On July 24 at 7:05 p.m., officers responded to Barnhart Elementary School at 4800 Lancaster Circle, Waldorf, for an intrusion alarm. Upon arriving, officers discovered an open door and several windows shattered. Several juveniles were located at the playground.  Further investigation linked the juveniles to the burglary. A search of the school revealed the suspects entered the school by shattering a rear side window. Once inside, they located a box of fluorescent light bulbs and went throughout the lower level shattering the bulbs. Seven juveniles were charged with the burglary and destruction of property. PFC K. Newman is investigating.
ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED: On July 24 at 11:30 p.m., Officer M. Fields was patrolling the area of 45 St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf when he observed an altercation taking place in the parking lot. Officer Fields pulled into the lot and was approached by the victim who pointed to a vehicle that was exiting the area. The victim said the occupants of the car had just robbed him at gunpoint. Officer Fields stopped the vehicle and detained three of the suspects while another suspect fled the area on foot. The victim told officers he had just left work and was in his vehicle when the suspects opened up his car doors and jumped inside. They displayed a gun, assaulted him and then stole his money. Jajuan Anthony Curtis, 18, of Waldorf, and Devin Rashaun Brooks, 18, of White Plains, were charged with armed robbery, theft, carrying a dangerous weapon, and first-degree assault. Daivon Rashad Corley, 18, of Waldorf was charged with possession of marijuana.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Malicious Wounding – On July 25th at 10:38PM, police responded to investigate a malicious wounding that occurred in the 1300 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191).  The victim, a 51 year old male from Lorton, was delivering food to an address.  When no one answered the door, he began to return to his car.  He was attacked from behind and struck several times with a bat or similar object.  Nothing was reported taken.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing. 
 
Residential Burglary – On July 27th at 12:49PM, police responded to the 14300 block of Westminster Lane in Woodbridge (22193) in reference to a burglary.  The victims, both 24 year old females, reported that sometime in the previous 24 hours an unknown person(s) had entered their apartment and removed electronics, handbags, and shoes valued at more than $14,600.00.  There were no signs of forced entry.  It appears entry was made through an unlocked door.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 28th at 7:24PM, police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3400 block of Eagle Ridge Drive in Woodbridge (22191).  The victim, a 46 year old female, reported that between July 24 and 28 someone had damaged a rear gate to her property and had removed the screen covering a ground floor window.  No entry was made to the house.
 
Residential Burglary – On July 28th at 7:59PM, police responded to the 7000 block of Gray Fox Trail in Manassas (20112) regarding a residential burglary.  The victim, a 58 year old male, reported that between 8AM and 7PM someone had entered his residence and took a video game system and accessories valued at $290.00.  Entry was made through a back door.  The case remains under investigation.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
TUESDAY, JULY 29, 2014 
 
ARSON: 
Library Services Distribution Center, 125 Olde Greenwich Dr, 7/25 2:00 a.m. Employees 
reported that they found fire debris and evidence of a fire that had been purposely set on the rear 
loading dock of the business. The below photos from a surveillance camera show two suspects 
who are believed to be involved in the incident. Anyone with information about the identity of 
these individuals should contact Detective Patrick Lamb at 540-654-5740.

the rear license plate from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. VANDALISM: 
VRE Lot, 200 block Prince Edward St, 7/28 6:55 a.m. A commuter reported that an unknown 
person broke a window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
 
George Washington Regional Commission, 406 Princess Anne St, 7/25 – 7/28 11:30 a.m. The 
director reported that an unknown person broke a window on the building. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time. 
300 block Pitt St, 7/21 – 7/22 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person damaged 
the antenna and tail light on her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Wesley Robinson, 34, of Alexandria was arrested for DUI in the 1200 block of White Street. 
ARRESTS: 
Robert Boyer, 55, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication. 
Emily Morris, 22, of Locust Grove was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark. 
Marcus Waples, 22, of Ruther Glen was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.

Arrests Made, July 21, 2014 – July 27, 2014
 
 
Theft
On 7/27/14, Deputy Morris arrested Aurora Conners, 21 of Warrenton on an open warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The stolen vehicle was also recovered by Deputy Morris at Wilderness Campgrounds.
 
On 07/24/14, Deputy Baugh obtained a Grand Larceny arrest warrant for Terrell Lee, of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting at Kohl's.  Deputy Baugh arrested Terrell at his residence a short time later. 
 
On 07/24/14, Deputy Collins obtained warrants for grand larceny and destruction of property for Darnell Bailey, 29 of Ruther Glen, after the stolen property was tracked to his residence.  Deputy Collins arrested Darnell a short time later at his job. 
 
On 07/22/14, Deputy Moore arrested Christopher Dempsey, 23 of Spotsylvania in the 400 Block of Hudgins Road for Fraud, Forgery, Petit Larceny, Uttering and Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.
 
On 07/21/14, Deputy Buccola released Yovanny Abreu, 22 of Culpeper on a summons for Shoplifting in the 10000 Block of Southpoint Parkway.
On 7/21/14, Deputy Lamont arrested and released Kyle Huffman on a summons for Shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
 
Assault
On 7/27/14, Deputy Hodges arrested Clarence Davis-Whyte, 19 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery.  Also arrested was Gianini Toral, 19 of Spotsylvania for Obstructing a Legal Process.  Markazha Washington, 18 of Spotsylvania was released on a summons for Obstruction.  This occurred in the 11100 block of Sunburst Lane. 
 
On 7/27/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Heather Hughes, 33 of Orange for Assault and Battery on Towles Mill Rd.
 
On 07/22/14, Deputy Durbin arrested Chelsea Renee Cole, 21 of Spotsylvania in the 13000 Block of Fox Gate Drive for Assault and Battery.
 
DUI
On 7/27/14, Deputy Polliard arrested Kevin Pitt, 53 of New Port News for DUI, Refusal, and Driving Suspended on Jefferson Davis Hwy near Purvis Ford.
 
On 7/27/14, Deputy Woodard arrested Jerry Payne, 34 for DUI and Refusal in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and I-95.
 
On 7/26/14, Deputy Polliard arrested Isabela Francisco-Birbes, 25 of Fredericksburg for DUI and Refusal. The incident took place at Fas-Mart on Salem Church Rd.

On 7/27/14, Deputy Smeal arrested Michele Lynn, 36 of Culpeper for felony Distribution of Oxycodone. 
 
On 7/27/14, Sergeant Assur arrested Raymond Harris, Jr., 24 of Stafford County for Possession of Marijuana and a felony Probation Violation from Prince William County. The arrest occurred pursuant to an investigation on Salem Church Rd.
 
On 7/27/14, Sgt. Wahl charged Christopher Hash, 22 of Danville and Tiffany Valvo, 22 of Fredericksburg with Possession of Marijuana at the Knights Inn.
 
On 7/26/14, Deputy Woodard charged Jackie Phommasy, 21 of Rhode Island with Possession of Marijuana at Country Inn and Suites.
 
On 7/26/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Logan Drexler, 19 of Stafford for Possession of Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Unreasonable Refusal, and Expired Registration. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on Brock Rd.
 
On 7/26/14, Deputy Jones conducted a traffic stop at Courthouse Rd. and Courthouse Bypass for Defective Equipment. Timothy Carter, 21 of Spotsylvania and Justin Carter, 25 of Spotsylvania were both charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute.
 
On 7/25/14, Sergeant Assur arrested Todd Schwartz, 23 of Stafford County for Possession of Marijuana and Drunk in Public.
 
On 7/25/14, Sergeant Assur arrested Reginald Silver, 18 of Spotsylvania for felony Possession of Cocaine resulting from a traffic stop on West Catharpin Rd.
 
On 7/25/14, Deputy Warren released Kevin Curtis, 25 of Arizona on a summons for Possession of Marijuana in the 10400 block of Heather Greens Circle.
 
On 7/23/14, Deputy Polliard arrested Hope Williams, 40 of Spotsylvania for Driving Suspended, Possession of Marijuana, False Identity to Law Enforcement, Identity Theft, Possession of Schedule I/II, an open warrant for Theft, and Obstruction of Justice on a traffic stop at Leavells Rd and Courthouse Rd.
 
On 7/22/14, Deputy Jones charged Johnnelle Perrin, 29 of Spotsylvania with Possession of Marijuana. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop at 5227 Jefferson Davis Hwy. 
 
On 7/21/14, Deputy Woodard arrested Glen Lipscomb, Jr., 35 of Ruther Glen for Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotics.  The incident stemmed from a traffic stop for defective equipment at Jefferson Davis Hwy. and Morris Rd.

On 7/26/14, Deputy Woodard charged Jeremy Corbin, 34 with Driving Revoked, Speeding, Possession of Marijuana and Receiving Stolen Property. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop at Plank Rd. and Brock Rd. 
On 7/26/14, Sgt. Wahl arrested Mariah Rollins, 22 of Spotsylvania for felony Eluding and Reckless Driving in the area of Leavells Rd. and Oak Grove Dr.
On 7/24/14, Deputy Gerber and Deputy Samuels arrested Jesus Fuentes.  Fuentes was wanted out of New York for a Parole violation on a weapons offense.
On 7/23/14, 1st Sgt. Harvey arrested Sheila Crichlow, 46 of Spotsylvania for Public Intoxication in the 500 block of Olde Greenwich Cir.

Malicious Wounding – On July 25th at 12:50AM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Fontaine Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 30 year old man of Woodbridge, was assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while in front of a residence in the above area. A witness reported seeing the accused on top of the victim, striking him repeatedly to the face. The accused fled on foot prior to police arriving in the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

Described as a black male, 6’0”, 170lbs with a thin build, short curly black hair, brown eyes, and an unshaven face

Strong Armed Robbery – On July 28th at 3:49AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 8200 block of Katie Lynn Ct in Gainesville (20155). The victim, a 26 year old man of Haymarket, reported to police that he received a ride from three unknown men after leaving a local establishment. The men reportedly drove the victim to the area above where he driver stopped in the cul-de-sac. At that point, the victim and 2 of the men exited the vehicle. The men assaulted the victim and took his wallet and phone before they got back into the vehicle and fled the area. Minor injuries were reported. Officers located the victim’s phone near where the incident was reported to have occurred. The victim was unable to describe the assailants.

**ARRESTS**
 
Attempted Murder | Arson of an Occupied Dwelling – On  July 27th at 4:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13700 block of Marbury Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to assist the Department of Fire and Rescue with an active fire. While investigating, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau and investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the incident was arson. A suspect was developed and identified as the accused, a juvenile, who was located at a nearby residence and detained without further incident. The investigation revealed that the accused was at an acquaintance’s residence in the above area when he was forced to leave around midnight following an altercation at the home. Officers were called and subsequently arrested the accused for drunk in public. The accused was eventually released to his parents. Later that morning, the accused went back to the Marbury Ln residence where he set the home on fire. Four occupants of the residence, all adults, were able to get out of the home without significant injury. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Abduction | Burglary | Assault & Battery – On July 24th at 3:19PM, officers responded to investigation an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that afternoon around 12:00PM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16 year old female juvenile of Woodbridge, was assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, after he forced his way into a residence where she was staying. While investigating this incident, officers learned of another assault which occurred on July 14th involving the same two parties. In that incident, the victim and the accused were in a vehicle when a verbal altercation ensued. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and refused to let her get out of the vehicle. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Grand Larceny | Filing a False Police Report – On July 25th at 2:42PM, officers responded to DMV Gold and Jewelry Exchange located at 13625 Dumfries Rd (20112) to investigate an armed robbery in progress. An employee, later identified as Reem AWWAD, initially reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, displayed a knife, and demanded money and jewelry. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim before fleeing the store with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and jewelry. Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded and subsequently determined that AWWAD set up the robbery and that the suspect was a known acquaintance, identified as John RANSOM Jr. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested. Property and money reported missing was returned.

MONDAY, JULY 28, 2014 
 
ATTEMPTED BREAKING AND ENTERING: 
700 block Prince Edward St, 7/26 – 7/27 11:30 a.m. A property owner reported that an unknown 
person broke a window and unlatched a window lock in an apparent attempt to gain entry to the 
vacant residence. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
LARCENY: 
200 block Summit St, 7/26 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole a 5’ Ball 
Python snake from its tank in the home. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Bonefish Grill, 1779 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 7/23 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. A patron reported that an 
unknown person stole the credit cards from her purse while she was sitting at her table. The 
cards were later used to make purchases at area stores. The investigation is ongoing. 
100 block Princess Anne St, 7/26 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
two of her children’s bicycles from her back deck. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Anthony Wilson, 45, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 2300 block of Plank Road. 
Nicholas Paone, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1000 block of Caroline Street.

Ronald Bernadowski, 60, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication. 
Brandon Lockwood, 19, of Stafford was arrested for indecent exposure. 
William Primas, 41, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank. 
Melissa Self, 39, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank. 
Charles Riley, 35, of no fixed address was arrested on two warrants from Spotsylvania charging 
him with destruction of property and entering another person’s property to cause damage.

Abduction | Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 24th at 11:16AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14100 block of Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 24 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused cornered the victim in a bathroom where he then assaulted her. At one point, the accused put his hands around the victim’s neck and began to choke her. The victim was eventually able to get out of the bathroom and attempted to leave the home. The accused caught up to the victim and continued to assault her. The accused eventually left the residence but returned a short time later. When the accused returned to the home, the victim attempted to call police. The accused then took the victim’s cell phone by force and fled the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Residential Burglary – On July 23rd at 2:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13300 block of Fieldstone Way in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 10:00AM. The investigation revealed that the homeowner was sitting in her living room when her dogs began to bark. The homeowner then observed an unknown man standing next to an interior door of the residence. The homeowner yelled towards the man who then fled on foot. No property was reported missing. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through an unlocked side door.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 7/23 – 7/24 8:00 a.m. A Penske manager reported that an 
unknown person spray painted graffiti on two rental trucks in the lot. No suspects or witnesses at 
this time. 
ARRESTS: 
Leeann Tate, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery. 
Christopher Francis, 36, of no fixed address was arrested twice for public intoxication. 
Carlos Berrios, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for trespassing at the quarry. 
Rudy Calleja, 31, of Manassas was arrested for trespassing at the quarry. 
Veleka Wilson, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for assault by mob. 
Damaris Hernandez Palma, 33, of Spotsylvania was arrested for child neglect. 
Dakota Brown, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery. 
Alan Denekas, 29, of Bumpass was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging him with 
utility fraud, obtaining money by false pretenses, and conspiracy.

Residential Burglary – On July 22nd at 6:28PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14900 block of Cordell Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 6:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Jewelry, 2 TV’s, 2 gaming consoles and other property, total value around $2,000, were reported missing. 
 
Residential Burglary – On July 21st at 7:54PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15700 block of Tassleford Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM and 7:40PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. A spare key was reported missing.
