Prince William County Police Department Incident Report
Incidents and arrests released on:                                                                            Friday, August 29, 2014               
 
 
                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Abduction and Robbery – On August 28th at 8:13AM, an officer responded to the area of Coverstone Drive, Manassas (20109).  He met with the victim, a 53 year old man from Manassas, who stated he was abducted the previous day in the block of 7700 Stream Walk Drive, Manassas (20109) at 8:30 AM.  The man was in the parking lot and a grey car, occupied by a white male and white female, pulled up and offered to hire him for landscaping work.  The man agreed and got into their car.  The couple then drove to a convenience store then to a wooded area.  Once there, the male occupant grabbed the man around his neck and held a knife to him.  The male occupant searched through the man’s pockets and took $280 in U.S. Currency from him.
Suspects Descriptions:
White male, between the ages of 24 & 28 years of age, 6’0”, unknown weight but thin build, short, blond hair, both arms are covered (full sleeves) with tattoos.  He was last seen wearing a tank top of unknown color.
White female, between the ages of 18 & 20 years of age, 5’3”, 100lbs with a thin build, and nose pierced on both sides with studs.  No clothing description available.
 
 
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Drug Operation – On August 28th, the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at the 10000 block of Winchester Court, Manassas (20109).  During the search approximately 3 oz. of cocaine, and U.S. Currency was seized.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2014
BURGLARY:
800 block Mortimer Ave, 8/29 3:30 a.m. Police responded to a report of an unknown male who 
had entered the home of a resident and was heard walking around downstairs while the caller and 
her children were secured in an upstairs bedroom. The suspect was a white male in his early 20s 
wearing glasses, a light colored striped shirt, and long dark blue gym shorts. He had left the area 
by the time officers arrived on the scene. A short time later, officers responded to the 1400 block 
of College Avenue after a man with the same description repeatedly tried to open the front door
of another home. The caller in the second case told the suspect to leave and he did so without 
incident. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY:
Kitchen Works, 2201 Lafayette Blvd, 8/27 – 8/28 8:00 a.m. An employee reported that an 
unknown person stole a box truck full of cabinetry belonging to the business. The investigation 
is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
1100 block Princess Anne St, 8/27 – 8/28 12:40 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person scratched and damaged her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Jennifer Jackson, 27, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Barry Foley, 60, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication and on a warrant from 
Spotsylvania charging him with violation of a protective order.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2014
BURGLARY:
1400 block Charles St, 8/27 6:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person gained access 
to his home by throwing a brick through the glass of the back door. The offender then stole a 
computer from the premises. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY:
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/27 9:30 p.m. A loss prevention employee reported that two 
male subjects stole a cooler and a quantity of beer, then left the area in a low rider red pickup 
with a silver toolbox on the back. Both suspects were described as white males in their early 20s 
wearing tan cargo style shorts and black shirts. The investigation is ongoing.
Maury Stadium, 800 Kenmore Ave, 8/27 9:00 p.m. A student reported that an unknown person 
stole his cell phone while he was attending a game. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
1200 block Washington Ave, 8/26 – 8/27 10:15 a.m. A representative of Tree Fredericksburg 
reported that an unknown person cut down one of the trees planted in the median. No suspects 
or witnesses at this time.
200 block Fauquier St, 8/27 – 8/28 6:45 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
slashed three tires on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Heather Gaffney, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Stafford County charging 
her with larceny.
Analia Page, 28, of Quantico was arrested on a warrant from Prince William County charging 
her with assault.
Woodrow Dunkley, 57, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication. 
Shamise Coleman Nelson, 39, of Woodbridge was arrested for shoplifting from Family Dollar.
Latina James, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from Family Dollar.

**UPDATES**
 
Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Carjacking *ARRESTS – On August 26th at 11:36AM, officers responded to the area of Waterway Dr and Spring Branch Blvd in Dumfries (22025) after receiving reports of a possible sighting of DeWayne WILLIAMS who was wanted in connection to a shooting incident which occurred at the McDonald’s on Dale Blvd on August 25th. The caller reported to police that the suspect was last seen climbing over a fence in the area. Officers were in the area on an unrelated call and also observed the suspect running through the neighborhood on Yorktown Dr. The area of was immediately locked down by police after the sighting was confirmed to be Williams. After a nearly 5 hour search, an officer on the perimeter spotted the suspect running on Silvan Glen Dr shortly after 4:00PM. The officer gave chase and numerous other officers, including a police K-9, were able to surround the suspect and take him into custody without further incident. Later that same evening, the second suspect identified as Jamie BOWYER turned herself into police. The carjacking part of this incident remains under investigation.
This extensive search included officers from multiple units of the Prince William County Police Department, including SWAT and K-9 officers, as well as, deputies from the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office. Marine assistance was provided by the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue, the Stafford Sheriff’s Office and the Fairfax County Police Department. Air assistance was provided by the Fairfax County Police Department and the US Customs & Border Protection Office of Air and Marine. We would like to thank our law enforcement partners for their assistance in this search.
We would also want to thank the residents of the Montclair area for their patience and understanding during the search for this suspect.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Carjacking [Previously Released] On August 25th at 6:49PM, officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 2891 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 23 year old man of Woodbridge, made arrangements to meet with a female acquaintance, identified as Jamie BOWYER, in the parking lot of the above location. Once there, the female suspect was in the company of another man, identified as DeWayne WILLIAMS. During the encounter, WILLIAMS shot the victim in the face and both suspects fled the area. After being shot, the victim went into the McDonald’s where police were contacted. The victim was flown to area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. A description of the suspect vehicle was obtained and a responding officer spotted the vehicle matching the description on Neabsco Mills Rd. Before the officer could stop the vehicle, the driver, believed to be WILLIAMS, drove into the parking lot of nearby Freedom HS and fled on foot. At that point, BOWYER was not in the vehicle with WILLIAMS. The two suspects are believed to have separated following the initial incident. Officers set up a perimeter around the high school and used a police K-9 to search for the suspect. During the search, officers learned that the suspect possibly carjacked a second victim in the area of Neabsco Mills Rd and Dale Blvd. That victim, a 26 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he was flagged down by an unknown man while driving on Neabsco Mills Rd. The male suspect opened the passenger side door and got into the vehicle. A verbal altercation ensued between the two men and during the interaction the suspect forced the victim to drive him away from the area. Once in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Delaware Dr, the suspect got out of the vehicle and continued to flee on foot towards the Misty Ridge Apartment Complex. Officers set up a perimeter around this location and used multiple police K-9’s to search for the suspect. After an extensive search using the K-9’s, officers began a methodical, door-to-door search of the complex and nearby neighborhood. This search concluded shortly before 3:00AM. Officers also checked multiple addresses where the suspect was known to frequent. Following the investigation, both suspects were identified and warrants were obtained in connection to the shooting incident. The whereabouts of WILLIAMS and BOWYER are currently unknown. WILLIAMS should be considered armed and dangerous. If encountered, do not approach and contact police immediately. The investigation into both incidents continues.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Death Investigation | Drowning – On August 26th at 2:38PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15400 block of Ohio Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a drowning. Family members reported to police that the victim, a 20 month old infant girl, was found unresponsive in the home’s pool. The infant was pulled from the water and CPR was initiated. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she died. The investigation revealed that the child’s family lost track of the child and believed the child was inside the home. Upon checking the home and the outside area, the child was discovered in the pool. Following a preliminary investigation, this incident appears to be an accident. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On August 25th at 2:17PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary to a home under renovation. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on August 22nd and 12:00PM on August 24th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A paint sprayer, valued around $350, was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 26th at 11:52PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10200 block of Moss Tower Pl in Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted. The homeowner reported to police that she was asleep in her bedroom when she heard a noise coming from the rear of the home. After hearing the noise, the homeowner contacted police. Officers arrived at the home and discovered a rear window screen which was bent. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. The homeowner did not see the suspect and could not provide a description to police.

Strangulation – On August 27th at 1:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Gunsmith Tr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, an 11 year old girl, was choked with a belt by the accused, a known acquaintance, following a verbal altercation. The belt broke and the victim ran to a bed room where she called another family member who then contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. The accused remained at home and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 27th at 12:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Desoto Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, knocking her to the ground. At one point, the accused began to choke the victim. Minor injuries were reported. The accused remained at home and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2014
LARCENY:
800 block Cobblestone Blvd, 8/26 3:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
his vehicle from the parking lot of his apartment complex. The vehicle was later recovered 
unoccupied in Spotsylvania County. A suspect has been developed and the investigation is 
ongoing.
400 block Cobblestone Blvd, 8/26 1:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person stole loose change and other small items of value from her vehicle. The investigation is 
ongoing. 
ARRESTS:
Thomasina Epps, 21, of Spotsylvania was arrested for conspiracy to commit shoplifting and 
felony shoplifting from Walmart.
Darnell Sedgwick, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for conspiracy to commit shoplifting and 
felony shoplifting from Walmart.
Francis McKenzie, 23, of no fixed address was arrested for conspiracy to commit shoplifting and 
felony shoplifting from Walmart.
Robert Satterwhite, 20, of Ruther Glen was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
BANK ROBBERY/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING REWARD: On August 25 at 4:50 p.m., officers responded to the PNC bank on North Prospect Avenue in Indian Head for a hold-up alarm. When officers arrived, bank employees said a masked man entered the bank and approached a teller. He showed a note announcing a robbery and demanded money, threatening to blow the bank up if the teller did not comply. The suspect obtained money and fled towards Strauss Avenue. Patrol officers, K9 teams, and the Maryland State Police Aviation Unit assisted with the search, but the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a white male, 6’0”, thin build, possibly in his late thirties, wearing a maroon plaid long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, blue bandana, baseball cap, sunglasses, and white gloves. Photographs of the suspect were captured on a surveillance camera. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. A. Celia at (301) 609-6518. A cash reward is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest of the suspect.  
BURGLARY REPORTED: Sometime between August 25 and August 26, unknown suspect(s) broke into a bakery in the 3600 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf and stole currency. There were no signs of forced entry. POI C. Gustafson is investigating.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 25th at 9:30PM, officers responded to the area of Birchdale Ave and Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The victim, a 38 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was sitting in his parked vehicle near the basketball courts when he observed an altercation between two groups of unknown men. During the encounter, the victim heard gunshots followed by a bullet striking the trunk of this vehicle. No injuries were reported. Following the incident, the victim returned to his residence on Eagle Ridge Dr where he contacted police. Both groups dispersed prior to officers arriving in the area.  A shell casing was located in the roadway on Birchdale Ave. No other property damage was reported. The victim was unable to describe any of the men. This incident is not believed to be related to the shooting investigation reported at the McDonald’s on Dale Blvd.

Rape – On August 21st, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13400 block of Keystone Rd in Woodbridge (22193) between 2009 and 2014. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 20 year old woman of Arlington, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion between the timeframe above. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

DUI ARRESTS:
Lucas Murray, 23, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 1600 block of Lafayette Boulevard.

Donald Webb, 56 of no fixed address was arrested for failure to appear in court and trespassing.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Armed Robbery – On August 24th at 2:04AM, officers responded to the Cloverdale 7-11 located at 14820 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the business and attempted to steal two cases of beer. One of the employees attempted to stop the suspect from leaving the store and was assaulted. During the encounter, one of the men implied he had a knife. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

Black male, between 16 & 20 years of age, 5’8”, 160lbs with a medium build, light complexion and black hair

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On August 23rd at 6:13PM, officers responded to the 7000 block of Lakota Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gun shots were heard in the above area. Officers arrived and, upon checking the neighborhood, located several shell casings on the ground in front of an apartment complex. During a check of the immediate area, officers located a vehicle with a flat tire and a hole in the side of a residence on Patamon Way, both believed to have been caused by stray bullets. No injuries or other property damage were reported. No suspects were seen or located.
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 22nd at 8:34AM, officers responded to Virginia Scarp Corp located at 5513 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:20PM on August 21st and 7:20AM on August 22nd. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the scrap yard after the lock on the gate was cut and removed. Copper, truck tires and a plasma cutter, total value around $6,500, were reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Displaying Kemp, Reuben.jpg Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 23rd at 11:23AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7900 block of Sequoia Park Way in Bristow (20136) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Bristow, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, began to choke her. Minor injuries were reported. The accused left the residence prior to police arriving at the home. Officers located the accused a short time later and detained him without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 21st at 10:09PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 38 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw a bottle at the victim, striking her in the head. The accused then began to choke victim causing her to lose consciousness. Another family member was able to wake the victim and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. The accused was at the residence when police arrived at the home. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2014
ASSAULT:
1200 block Jefferson Davis Hwy, 8/22 11:20 p.m. Police responded for a report of an injured 
man in the parking lot of McDonalds and found the 33-year-old victim lying unconscious on the 
pavement. The victim, a Spotsylvania resident, was transported by ambulance to Mary 
Washington Hospital for treatment of various injuries and severe intoxication. A review of the 
surveillance video at a nearby business showed a vehicle pulling into the parking lot and the 
driver getting out and appearing to assault someone in the back seat. The unknown driver then 
pulls the victim out of the car and leaves him on the asphalt. The suspect vehicle is a 4-door 
sedan and the assailant is a male of unknown age and race. The investigation is ongoing. 
Wawa, 1140 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/24 9:15 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that she was 
sitting in the passenger seat of a friend’s vehicle when a black male wearing a bright green shirt 
approached the driver’s side window of the car and asked for money. When the 22-year-old 
victim yelled at the man and told him to leave, the unknown man walked around to the passenger 
side of the car and punched her in the face. The assailant then left the scene on foot. The 
investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY:
300 block Lewis St, 8/23 4:00 p.m. A contractor reported that he arrived to do work on a house 
under construction when he noticed that plywood had been removed from one of the ground 
floor windows and he could hear noise from an upstairs level of the residence. The contractor 
entered the house and saw an unknown man walking down the stairs. The unknown man stated 
that he was there doing an inspection, but he left the scene on foot prior to police arrival. The 
suspect was described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 6’1” with an average build, and 
wearing a long sleeve gray shirt and dirty jeans. He was also carrying a black bag. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY:
Fairview Baptist Church, 900 Charlotte St, 8/20 – 8/22 9:00 a.m. An employee reported that an 
unknown person stole a computer notebook from his office. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time.
2100 block Elmhurst Ave, 8/22 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. An estate agent reported that an unknown 
person stole five signs that had been placed on a property. No suspects or witnesses at this time.2000 block Plank Rd, 8/23 – 8/24 4:00 a.m. An employee of a business in the area reported that 
an unknown person stole his moped after severing the lock that secured it to a post. The moped 
was later recovered in Spotsylvania County with damage to its ignition and steering column. 
The investigation is ongoing.
Peacaloo Boutique, 614 Caroline St, 8/24 2:40 p.m. The owner reported that a female subject 
stole items of merchandise by concealing them on her person. The suspect was described as a 
white female in her early 20s with long blond hair and wearing a turquoise and pink shirt. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
VANDALISM:
2200 block Cowan Blvd, 8/21 – 8/22 9:00 a.m. A student reported that an unknown person 
shattered a window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Princess Anne St, 8/18 – 8/19 10:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
shattered a window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Shiloh Baptist Church, 801 Sophia St, 8/22 – 8/24 7:55 a.m. A trustee reported that an unknown 
person damaged the gas cap on a vehicle belonging to the church. No suspects or witnesses at 
this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Andrew Walters, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI, drinking while driving, and child 
endangerment in the 200 block of Herndon Street.
Christopher Stewart, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 800 block of William 
Street.
ARRESTS:
Shawn-Thomas Franklin, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.
John Foley, 48, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Edgar Carrion Camacho, 39, of Colonial Beach was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Daniele Thornton, 25, of Waldorf, Maryland was arrested for animal cruelty.

Malicious Wounding – On August 21st at 6:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Queensbury Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 34 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the home. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. As a result of the fall, the victim struck his head on the pavement rendering him unconscious. The victim regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

Residential Burglary – On August 22nd at 4:52AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17900 block of Dr David Cline Ln located in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on August 21st and 4:30AM on August 22nd. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear door which was forced open. Three gaming consoles, two laptops and other property, total value around $2,000, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 21st at 8:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Cardin Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 4:00PM and 5:00PM, entry was attempted into the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 21st at 11:54PM, officers responded to the 1500 block of Margaret St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a disorderly call. The caller reported to police that two men were on her property looking for another resident of the home. The men refused to leave the property and police were contacted. Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle leaving without the headlights activated. Offices stopped the vehicle and identified both individuals as being involved in the previous incident. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. During the encounter, the passenger, identified as the accused, pushed passed one of the officers and attempted to flee on foot. Officers caught up to the accused and were eventually able to detain him. No injuries were reported.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 21st at 10:00AM, officers were at the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) with the accused on an unrelated matter. While in police custody, the accused kicked an officer twice in the leg. No injuries were reported. Following the encounter, the accused was arrested.

LARCENY:
Dixon Park, 1300 Dixon St, 8/21 4:00 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person broke a 
window on her vehicle and stole her purse from the front seat. No suspects or witnesses at this

St. Mary’s Church, 1009 Stafford Ave, 8/21 11:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m. A parishioner reported that 
an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from the back seat. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time.
Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 8/21 2:40 p.m. A patron reported that she saw a black female 
break the rear window on her vehicle in the parking lot, grab a bag from the back seat, and drive 
away in a black Dodge Charger. A black male and a white female were with the offender during
the incident. The male was described as approximately 6’2” with a thin build and wearing bright 
orange shorts. The female offender appeared to be wearing a long dark wig. The investigation is 
ongoing. 
VANDALISM:
Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 8/20 – 8/21 8:30 a.m. An employee reported 
that an unknown person damaged the door lock mechanism on her vehicle. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
John Rowley, 43, of  Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 100 block of George Street.
ARRESTS:
Alfonzo Robinson, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Caroline County

Commercial Burglary – On August 20th at 11:51AM, officers responded to Veterans Park located at 14300 Veterans Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:59PM on August 19th and 12:30AM on August 20th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a cashiers booth located in the pool area through an unsecured window after the screen covering the window was cut and removed. Once inside, the suspects attempted to break into the cash registers inside the booth. No entry was made into the registers and no property was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 20th at 9:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Hemingway Dr in Woodbridge to investigate an attempted burglary which was reported to have occurred on August 19th around 9:45AM. A neighbor reported to the homeowner that two unknown males, possibly juveniles, were seen in the backyard of the residence attempting to enter the home. At the time of the incident, police were not contacted. No entry was made into the home and the suspects fled on foot. No property was reported missing.

Malicious Wounding – On August 21st at 12:49AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12700 block of Cara Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 53 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that another resident of the home was to the rear of the residence talking with a group of known acquaintances. The encounter escalated and the victim attempted to intervene. During the altercation, one of the individuals in the group, later identified as the accused, picked up a stick and struck the victim in the head. The group eventually dispersed and police were contacted. Non-life threatening injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects involved. An officer checking nearby business located the accused and detained him without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

The victim, a 25 year old woman of Haymarket, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, knocking her to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused began to choke the victim. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Narcotics Investigation – On July 16th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of the Days Inn located at 16925 Old Stage Rd in Dumfries (22025). During the investigation, illegal narcotics including cocaine, as well as, evidence of distribution were discovered. Following the investigation, the below individual was one of the occupants of the vehicle arrested. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 21, 2014
LARCENY:
Pelham Street, 8/19 – 8/20 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person entered her
unlocked vehicle overnight and rummaged through the glove box. Nothing was stolen. 
Responding officers then checked the area and discovered that multiple vehicles had been 
entered overnight and a quantity of loose change had been taken from these vehicles. A juvenile
male, 17, has been arrested and a second suspect has been identified. The investigation is 
ongoing.
300 block Riverside Dr, 8/20 4:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported while visiting the 
riverbank that an unknown person stole cigarettes and her iPhone from her unattended purse. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time.
Department of Child Support Enforcement, 2342 block Plank Rd, 8/20 5:30 p.m. An employee 
reported that her front license plate was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time.
Planet Fitness, 1267 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 8/20 7:45 p.m. Two patrons reported that an unknown 
person gained entry to their vehicles by breaking a window and stole their purses. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time.

LARCENY:
100 block Kinlock Dr, 8/10 – 8/19 8:30 a.m. A resident reported upon returning home from a 
weekend trip an unknown person rummaged through the center console and glove compartment 
of his vehicle. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
1200 block Brigadier Dr, 8/15 – 8/19 5:00 p.m. A resident reported upon returning home from a 
trip an unknown person stole a granite stone from her front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time.
Gold’s Gym, 2380 Plank Rd, 8/19 5:30 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person stole his 
car keys from the hanging key board then used the keys to locate the vehicle in the parking lot 
and steal it. The investigation is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
1200 block Patrick St, 8/17 – 8/19 6:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
damaged her garage door. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARREST:

**UPDATES**
 
Commercial Burglaries *ARRESTS – On August 19th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit identified and obtained charges on three suspects  involved in two separate burglaries at Anne Moncure Park located at 4450 Waterway Dr in Dumfries in May of 2014. The three suspects were identified as juveniles and connected to both incidents. The investigation revealed that a total of over $3,300 in damages and lost goods were caused by these suspects. Following the investigation, all three suspects were arrested.

                A 16 year old male juvenile and two 14 year old male juveniles – all of Dumfries
                All three were charged with 2 counts of burglary and 1 count of grand larceny

Commercial Burglary [Previously Released] – On May 18th at 1:44PM, officers responded to Anne Moncure Park located at 4450 Waterway Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a destruction of property. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred 4:30PM on May 17th and 12:30PM on May 18th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the concessions building on the property through a door which was pried open. A safe, containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, was reported missing. A similar incident was reported on May 4th, see below.
 
Commercial Burglary [Previously Released] – On May 4th at 11:04AM, officers responded to Anne Moncure Park located at 4450 Waterway Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on May 3rd and 10:30AM on May 4th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the concessions building on the property through a door which was pried open. Candy, total value around $50, was reported missing.
 

**INCIDENTS**
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On August 20th at 12:04AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 9600 block of Magenta St in Manassas (20110). The victim, an 18 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he made arrangements to meet up with a known acquaintance. The victim was reportedly picked up in a vehicle in the 10900 block of Pennycress St by the acquaintance and another unknown male. Once in the vehicle, the victim was driven to a secluded area on Magenta St where the driver stopped. At that point, two other unknown men approached the vehicle and opened the victim’s door where they proceeded to assault and rob him. The men took the victim’s shoes, wallet, cell phone and watch before fleeing the area. The victim was taken to an area hospital where police were contacted. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On August 18th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 7400 block of Albemarle Dr in Manassas (20111) in June of 2014. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 6 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance. The victim disclosed the incident to a family friend who contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on August 19th.

Displaying Burton, Joshua.jpgAssault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 19th at 8:54PM, officers responded to the Food Lion located at 5227 Waterway Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a pan handling complaint. Officers arrived in the area and located two individuals described by the caller. One of the individuals, later identified as the accused, provided officers with false identification. Once the correct identification was determined, officers learned that the accused was wanted. Officers attempted to then arrest the accused, at which point, he actively resisted. Officers were eventually able to detain the accused and place him in handcuffs. As the accused was being placed into a cruiser, he struck one of the officers, causing the officer to fall back and lose grip on the accused. The accused then fled into a nearby wooded area where officers lost sight of him. A police K-9 was used to search for the accused who was eventually located by the K-9 hiding under a deck on Benecia Ln. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Narcotics Investigation – On August 19th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of suspected illegal drugs with the execution of a search warrant at 15358 Barnabas Trl in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, suspected marijuana, cocaine and evidence of distribution were recovered. Following the investigation, the below arrests were made without incident.

Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
THEFT REPORTED: On August 17 at 1:55 p.m., officers responded to the area of Western Parkway and Berry Road in Waldorf for the report of a theft that just occurred. Investigation showed a 17-year-old female was stopped at a red lightat the intersection of Western Parkway and Berry Road when a male exited the passenger side of a dark blue Chevy Impala which was also stopped in traffic. The suspect approached the woman’s car and grabbed her purse through an open passenger window and ran back to the Impala. The suspect immediately threw the purse back out of the window, possibly because the light had not changed to green. The suspects fled east on Berry Road prior to police arrival. The victim’s purse was recovered in the roadway. The victim described the suspect as being possibly Hispanic or African American, about 5’5” to 5’8”, slim build and short hair. He was wearing a gray shirt and khakis. The driver of the Impala was described as a white female with brown hair worn in a ponytail and wearing a green top. Investigators are working on leads. Residential Burglary – On August 18th at 6:52PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17600 block of Avenel Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM on August 15th and 6:30PM on August 18th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a basement door which was found damaged. A gaming console, television, camera and other property, total value around $3,000, were reported missing. The homeowner’s vehicle, which was parked in the garage, was also reported stolen.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 16th 8:56PM, officers responded to the area of Bel Air Rd and Saxophone Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 37 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was confronted by the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, pulled out a knife and made stabbing motions toward the victim. The victim was able to get away from the accused and contact police. Officers arrived in the area and detained the accused without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 18th at 1:40AM, officers responded to Malibu Sports Pub located at 8265 Shoppers Sq in Manassas (20111) to assist security with a disorderly person. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation with security over his bill. The accused refused to pay the bill and attempted to leave the restaurant. Officers arrived and began to speak to the accused, advising him to pay his bill. At that point, the accused walked away from police. The officers then attempted to arrest the accused who actively resisted and refused to cooperate with officers. The accused was eventually detained and placed in a cruiser. While in the backseat, the accused repositioned himself and attempted to kick out a rear window of the cruiser. One of the officers opened the door and was kicked twice by the accused in the chest. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Filing a False Police Report – On August 17th at 5:10PM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Longwood Manor Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an initial report of a robbery. The victim, identified as Amanda TWOMEY, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with the accused, Jackson CRISLER, in the above area to purchase marijuana. Once there, the victim alleged that the accused pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The accused reportedly took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area. During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit discovered that the victim voluntarily gave the accused money to purchase marijuana from another party. The accused instead took the money without providing the victim with the marijuana. After not receiving the product, the victim called police to report the robbery. Following the investigation, both parties were arrested.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
TUESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2014
FELONY HIT AND RUN:
1000 block Sam Perry Blvd, 8/18 3:20 p.m. A homeless man riding a bicycle was thrown 
approximately 20 feet into the roadway after being struck by a red Jeep turning from Park Hill 
Drive onto Sam Perry Boulevard. The driver of the Jeep did not stop. The 27-year-old victim 
reported that he was on his bicycle in the crosswalk when the incident occurred. The victim 
suffered two broken legs and other injuries and was transported to the emergency room by 
ambulance personnel who were on the scene at the hospital. The Jeep driver was described as a 
white male with a dark beard and wearing a baseball cap. The Jeep had a tan canvas top, lifted 
suspension and mud tires. The investigation is ongoing.

Robert Carbajal, 40, of Fredericksburg was arrested for violation of a protective order, public 
intoxication, and breaking and entering

Armed Robbery – On August 18th at 3:23AM, officers responded to the 7-11 located at 14116 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the store and approached the counter. Once at the counter, the men pulled out handguns and demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area on foot. A third suspect remained just outside the front doors during the robbery. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 Was used to search for the suspects.

Black male, between 20 & 27 years of age, 5’10”, 150lbs with a thin build and medium complexion
Last seen wearing a tan button down shirt, blue jeans and a dark purple shirt wrapped around his face

Strong Armed Robbery – On August 17th at 11:59PM, officers responded to the 15200 block of Lord Culpeper Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was sitting inside his vehicle in front of his residence when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men opened the victim’s door and demanded money. The accused took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen or implied.

Commercial Burglary – On August 18th at 2:48AM, officers responded to Queens Gambit located at 12730 Black Forest Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the location and located an unsecured door. After a check of the business, no suspects were located inside. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. Once inside, the suspect(s) attempted to open the cash register. No other damage was reported and no property or money was taken.
 
Residential Burglary – On August 16th at 5:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00 on July 7th and 3:35PM on August 16th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a shed on the property through an unsecured door. A motorcycle, valued around $7,000, was reported stolen.

Residential Burglary – On August 16th at 1:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Nautilus Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on August 9th and 1:45PM on August 16th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear window which was broken out. Jewelry and other property, total value around $30,000, were reported missing. Entry was also made into the attached garage through a side door which was forced open. A vehicle, valued around $2,000, was also reported stolen.

Residential Burglary – On August 15th at 1:38AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1400 block of Walnut St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on August 14th and 1:38AM on August 15th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A gaming console and multiple pairs of shoes, total value around $1,500, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 9:16PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3600 block of Quantico Tr to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured patio door. Three gaming consoles, total value around $2,000, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 2:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Kingsley Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary to a vacant home. Neighbors reported to police that broken windows and doors were discovered at the property. Damage to interior walls, windows and doors was estimated around $2,000. No property was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 9:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4200 block of Talon Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:20PM on August 12th and 9:15AM on August 14th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into an attached garage through an unsecured door. Miscellaneous tools, total value around $600, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 17th at 9:19AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 135100 block of Stepping Stone Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 11:30PM on August 16th and 7:30AM on August 17th, entry was attempted into the residence through a rear patio door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 16th at 9:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Steerage Cir in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 8:00AM on August 12th and 9:00AM on August 16th, entry was attempted into the residence through a rear patio door which was found damaged. MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 2014
BURGLARY:
100 block Braehead Dr, 8/16 1:30 a.m. A resident reported that she heard a noise and saw 
flashes of light inside her home. When the victim called out to her husband, she heard the 
unknown offender leave the home through the front door. It was later discovered that entry had 
been made through an unsecured window and a quantity of cash had been stolen from the 
victim’s purse. The investigation is ongoing.
Hooker Place, 8/15 – 8/16 7:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person broke in to his 
garage, apparently through an unsecured window. Nothing appeared to have been stolen. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 8/17 2:50 a.m. A resident reported that she was asleep on the 
living room couch and woke up to find a man standing over her. The victim ordered the man out 
of her apartment and he left through the sliding door of her ground floor patio, which was also 
the apparent point of entry for the offender. The offender was described as a black male in his 
early 20s, about 6’ tall and with a thin build. A possible suspect has been identified and the 
investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY:
300 block Braehead Dr, 8/15 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
stole a laptop and other items of value from his unlocked vehicle. A neighbor also reported that 
a camera and other items were stolen from her vehicle, and another neighbor reported that 
someone had rummaged through his vehicles without stealing anything. The investigation is 
ongoing. 
100 block Kinlock Dr, 8/15 – 8/16 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
rummaged through the glove box and console of his vehicle and stole items of value from his 
wife’s vehicle. A neighbor also reported that someone had entered his vehicle overnight. The 
investigation is ongoing.
Lockhart Circle, 8/15 – 8/16 6:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person rummaged 
through the glove box and console of his vehicle and stole items of value from his girlfriend’s 
vehicle. A neighbor also reported that a projector was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The 
investigation is ongoing.
Kinlock Circle, 8/15 -8/16 8:20 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole a pair of 
running shoes from his vehicle. The shoes were later recovered nearby, along with property 
belonging to an unknown individual. The investigation is ongoing.
100 block Princess Anne St, 8/16 – 8/17 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
stole her vehicle from her driveway. The vehicle is a 2006 maroon Mitsubishi Galant with 
Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.
1400 block Caroline St, 8/16 – 8/17 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
his moped. The vehicle was later recovered undamaged in the 100 block of Hawke Street. The 
investigation is ongoing.
1300 block Sophia St, 8/16 – 8/17 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
rummaged through his unlocked vehicle. Three additional neighbors also reported similar 
circumstances with their vehicles, and a quantity of loose change had been stolen from one of 
them. The investigation is ongoing. 
VANDALISM:
1000 block Wicklow Dr, 8/14 – 8/15 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
slashed two tires on his girlfriend’s vehicle. The investigating officer found a second vehicle in 
the parking lot with similar damage. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Chick-Fil-A, 1698 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/15 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. An employee reported that 
an unknown person slashed a tire on her vehicle. A second employee found similar damage on 
his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
800 block Forest Village, 8/17 3:15 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person threw a 
rock through her bedroom window and urinated on her car. A possible suspect has been 
identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
DUI ARRESTS:
Erin Woolls, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI, drinking while driving, and driving while 
suspended in the 2900 block of Plank Road. 
Stephen Parkhurst, 44, of Stafford was arrested for DUI and driving while suspended in the 500 
block of Caroline Street.
Abel Valencia Cruz, 23, of unknown address was arrested for DUI in the 3300 block of Fall Hill 
Avenue.

200 block Wilderness Ln, 8/13 – 8/14 7:30 a.m. A resident and her visitor both reported that an 
unknown person entered their vehicles. Items of value were stolen from one of the cars. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time.
IHOP, 2831 Plank Rd, 8/9 9:30 a.m. A patron reported that an unknown person stole a camera 
and other items of value from his vehicle while he was dining. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time.
The Griffin Bookshop, 723 Caroline St, 8/14 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. An employee reported that 
an unknown person stole her credit card and driver’s license from her wallet. The offender later 
used the victim’s credit card to make purchases at area stores. The investigation is ongoing. 
VANDALISM:
800 block Cornell St, 8/12 – 8/14 9:20 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
shattered the windshield on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

alcohol after being interdicted.
Holly Bell, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.

The man pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency then assaulted the victim before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Brandishing a Machete | Resisting Arrest – On August 14th at 6:03PM, officers responded to the 13800 block of Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a brandishing. Multiple callers reported to police that an unknown man was in the parking lot in the above area waving a machete in the air and threatening others. Officers arrived in the area and located the man, later identified as the accused. The accused was still in possession of the machete and began to run from officers. After a short foot chase, the accused was detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The accused was also wanted on unrelated charges.

Narcotics Investigation – On August 14th, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force conducted a warrant service at a residence located in the 3613 Felmore Ct in Woodbridge (22193). Once inside the home, narcotics were discovered by members of the task force.  Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit obtained and subsequently executed a search warrant at the residence. During the search, suspected control substances including heroin, cocaine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, liquid codeine, prescription medications, evidence of distribution and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 13th at 2:02PM, officers responded to the Popeyes located 14400 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:45AM and 3:55AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the drive-up window. There were no signs of forced entry. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 13th at 8:58AM, officers responded to the EZ Storage located at 14924 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:36AM and 3:39AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through a front glass door which was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 12th at 11:21AM, officers responded to a vacant building located at 14000 Foulger Sq in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between an unknown time on May 1st and 7:00AM on August 12th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the building through a rotating front door which was found damaged.  Multiple televisions, total value around $4,300, were reported missing.
 

**ARRESTS**

Indecent Exposure – On August 12th at 4:35PM, officers responded to Locust Shade Park located at 4701 Locust Shade Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was inside her parked vehicle in the park when she observed another vehicle pull into the lot and stop near her. Once parked, an unknown man exited his vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect got close to the victim’s vehicle and proceeded to expose himself. The victim immediately called police and the suspect got back into his vehicle and drove to another area of the park. Officers arrived and located the man walking on one of the park trails and identified him as the accused.  During the investigation, officers learned of another incident on July 30th involving the accused who reportedly exposed himself to a couple at the same park. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged in connection to both incidents.

OFFICERS ARREST FOUR ROBBERY SUSPECTS:  On August 7 at 12:15 a.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Nelson Point Road in Indian Head for the report of a robbery that just occurred. Investigation showed a group of subjects forced their way inside a residence and demanded money. One victim was injured after being assaulted. The suspects fled on foot after stealing a Play Station, cell phone and cash. Officers located the suspects at a nearby house and recovered some of the stolen property. Fabian Danzell Queen, 22, of California, MD; Cornelius Lionell Queen, 21, of Pomfret; Marquis Swann, 21, of Waldorf and James Deondre Thompson, 20, of Waldorf were arrested and charged with robbery. It does not appear the robbery was random. Detective Wimberly is investigating.
PATROL SQUAD CONDUCTS UNDERCOVER ENFORCEMENT TARGETING DRUG SALES: On July 25, a patrol squad conducted special enforcement in the area of Smallwood Park and Ride and the Westlake Dash-In after receiving complaints about illegal drug activity at those locations. As a result of undercover operations, officers arrested three suspects in connection with drug possession and distribution and another person was arrested for disorderly conduct.  Sgt. H. Smith, Cpl. J. Timko, Officer R. Gass, Officer V. Warker, Officer M. Casarrubias and Officer J. Pogar made the arrests.
BURGLARY: Between August 13 to August 14, during the overnight hours, several suspects jumped a fence at a residence in the 3200 block of Westdale Court in Waldorf and broke into a house where they stole assorted jewelry. Officer J. Pogar is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Between August 12 to August 13, someone shattered the windows of two excavators in the area of Piney Church Road in Waldorf. PFC C. Garner is investigating.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On August 13th at 1:58AM, officers responded to the area of Mapledale Ave and Miles Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man who asked to use the victim’s phone. During the encounter, another suspect approached and assaulted the victim. The men then took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and other property before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

                Black male, between 20 & 29 years of age, 6’0”, 170lbs with a medium build
                Last seen wearing blue boxer shorts and no shirt

Vandalism | Destruction of Property – On August 12th at 2:11PM, officers responded to the Manassas Mosque located at 12950 Center Entrance Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a reported vandalism. Staff reported to police that the vandalism was initially discovered by a security guard conducting a check of the area. The vandalism is believed to have occurred sometime between 11:30PM on August 11th and 4:45AM on August 12th. The investigation into the incident revealed that during that time an unknown person(s) spray painted exterior walls, windows and doors of the building using orange spray paint. In addition to the spray paint, an outer glass pane on a rear side door was also found damaged. No entry was made into the building and no suspects were seen during the encounter. After reviewing the damage, no identifiable markings or words were discovered with the exception of one obscenity. At this time, it is not evident that the vandalism was a hate crime; however, any vandalism reported at a religious institution is carefully investigated to determine the criminal intent of the suspect(s). There are no suspects at this time and the investigation continues. 
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 12th at 6:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11500 block of Overleigh Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 8:00AM and 11:30AM, someone attempted to enter the residence through an unsecured rear window. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing. 
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 12th at 10:11PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Logmill Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Gainesville, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, retrieved a kitchen knife. Another resident of the home, a 36 year old man of Gainesville, attempted to intervene and was stabbed in the arm by the accused. The male victim ran to a neighbor’s residence where he contacted police. The accused fled the home prior to officers arriving in the area. A police K-9 was used to search for the accused and was successful in locating her in a wooded area behind the home. Once encountered by officers, the accused refused to comply with commands and was bitten by the police K-9. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Both victims and the accused sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Theft
On 8/10/14, Deputy Smeal arrested Jean-Joseph Boni, 20 of Stafford for felony Embezzlement from Wal-Mart.
 
On 8/8/14,  Detective Swift arrested Dylan Radford, 22 of Spotsylvania and James Nicholson, Jr., 19  of Spotsylvania for (4) counts Grand Larceny, (4) counts of felony Vandalism, (1) count of Possession of Burglary Tools and (1) count of Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny.  These arrests were the result of an investigation into several recent larcenies and Burglaries in Spotsylvania County.
 
On 8/7/14, Senior Deputy Walsh arrested Dimitri Boone, 25 of Spotsylvania and Uneka Brissette, 33 of Spotsylvania for felony Shoplifting and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny from Macy's. 
 
On 8/7/14, Deputy Kelley arrested Corey Maurice Wright, 37 for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice.  Wright was asked to move his cart while Deputy Kelley was making a Shoplifting arrest.  Wright responded by cussing and yelling at Deputy Kelley. 
 
On 8/7/14, Deputy Kelley arrested Justin Lee Loving, 31 for Felony Shoplifting and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny at Wal-Mart. 
 
On 8/7/14, Deputy Baugh arrested Jeffrey Ryan Crandall, 33 for Shoplifting at Wal-Mart. 
 
Assault
On 8/10/14, Deputy Coerper arrested Betty Lindberg, 43 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery In the 10000 block of Field Stone Ct.
 
On 8/8/14, Deputy Harding arrested Latoya Morris, 31 of Spotsylvania for Assault on Law Enforcement, Assault on Rescue Personnel, and Obstruction of Justice at 7923 Camp Town Rd. 
 
On 8/6/14, Deputy Basil arrested Ovid Carroll, 48 of Spotsylvania for Assault in the 4700 block of Greenbranch Street. 
 
DUI
On 8/9/14, Sr. Deputy Myrick conducted a traffic stop at Chancellor Landfill. Antony Sirio, 26 of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI.
 
On 8/8/14, Deputy Jones arrested Michael Stewart, 63 of Spotsylvania for DUI, Defective Equipment, and Driving Suspended at the WAWA, Courthouse Rd.
 
On 8/8/14, Deputy Woodard arrested Robin Hall, 38 of King George for DUI. The arrest occurred as a result of a traffic stop at Bragg Rd.
 
Narcotics
On 8/9/14, Deputy Berry and Sr. Deputy Woodard conducted a traffic stop at Harrison Crossing.  David Williams, 38 of Charlottesville, Va. was arrested for DUID, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.  Trevail Woodson, 20 of Norfolk, Va. was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of Schedule II Drugs, and Possession of Marijuana. Lorenzo Saylor, 27 of Keene, Va. was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.
 
On 8/8/14, Deputy Jones charged Dequan Ellis, 20 of Spotsylvania with Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop at Massaponax Church Rd and Landcaster Ring Rd.
 
On 8/8/14, Deputy Woodard charged Vicente Magueyal, 20 of Mississippi with Possession of Marijuana at Ruby Tuesday on Mine Rd.
 
On 8/4/14, Deputy Wright arrested Bruce Johnson, 25 of Spotsylvania and Mason Farley, 20 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on Courthouse Rd.  
 
Arrests
On 8/9/14, Sr. Deputy Myrick conducted an officer initiated property check at Arritt Park.  Mary Cuellar, 34 of Spotsylvania was located in a suspicious vehicle and served on a full extradition warrant from Georgia for narcotics charges and failure to appear. 
On 08/09/14, Deputy Harney arrested Kenneth Flatlip, 49 with no fixed address in the 3600 Block of Jefferson Davis Hwy for appearing Drunk in Public.
On 8/8/14, Deputy Durbin arrested Jeremy Stephen Welch, 39 from "Fredericksburg", Pennsylvania in the 5400 Block of Southpoint Parkway for appearing Drunk in Public.
 
On 8/7/14, Deputy Moore pulled a vehicle over for a traffic infraction in the area of the McDonald's in Thornburg while working selective enforcement.  The passenger in the vehicle fled on foot.  He was identified as Johnny Brooks, Jr., 29 of Spotsylvania.  Brooks was wanted on two felony Capias Warrants.  Senior Deputy Steve Noakes was on Interstate 95 and saw a vehicle pull over and pick up a subject matching Brooks’ description.  Senior Deputy Noakes was able to get the vehicle stopped at the 117 mile marker on southbound I-95 and took Brooks into custody with the assistance of personnel from the Criminal Investigations Division.  Brooks was served on the open paperwork and was also charged by Deputy Moore with Escape and False ID to Prevent Arrest.  Senior Deputy Noakes charged the driver of the car, Danielle Fox, 24 of Thornburg, with Assisting a Fugitive to Escape. 
 
On 8/6/14, Deputy Cairns arrested William Paschall, 61 of Spotsylvania for Drunk in Public, after a report of an intoxicated person in the Four Mile Fork Shopping Center.

Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports

BURGLARY: On August 11 at 1:09 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Post Office Road in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm. When officers arrived, they found two open doors and an open window.  Cpl. L. Blake and his K-9 partner entered the business but no one was inside. The owner of the business responded and said it did not appear anything had been stolen. Officers believe the suspects fled when the alarm sounded. POI C. Caywood is investigating.

 

ROBBERY REPORTED: On August 10 at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Deerwood Court in Waldorf for the report of a robbery that occurred earlier in the evening. According to the four teenaged victims, they were sitting in a fenced-in backyard of a house when two suspects wearing ski masks approached, displayed a gun and demanded money. The victims complied and the suspects fled. The victims did not immediately report the incident.  PFC. A.Fenlon is investigating.

 

STRONG-ARM ROBBERY: On August 10 at 1:38 a.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of a fight in progress. When officers arrived, a man reported a group of males assaulted him and took his cell phone and cash. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. PFC M. Bourgeois is investigating.

 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY:  On Aug. 9 at 10:06 p.m., officers responded to the Bryantown Store at 6435 Leonardtown Road in Bryantown for the report of a robbery that just occurred. Investigation showed the suspect entered the business, brandished a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. Cpl. C. Roberts and his K-9 partner tracked the suspect to Oliver Shop Road where the track stopped about a half mile away. The suspect is a male, unknown race, early to mid-twenties, about 5’9” with a medium build. He was wearing all black clothing to include a black shroud that concealed his entire head. PFC J.L. Clagett is investigating.
 

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: On August 10 at 1:25 a.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Dorset Road in Waldorf for the repot of the sound of gunshots. When officers arrived, they spoke with the homeowner who indicated she heard the sound of glass breaking in her living room and discovered a large hole and shattered glass by the patio door. She then noticed small holes in the living room wall. Officers canvassed the yard and found a projectile nearby. Further investigation revealed additional evidence on Cambridge Drive which is located behind the victim’s residence. The scene was processed and evidence collected. It is not clear if the victim’s house was intentionally fired upon. PFC S. Chandler is investigating.

 

BURGLARY: On August 8 at 8:34 a.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Drake Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary of a vacant house. Investigation showed a juvenile male, who was reported as a runaway, broke a window and gained entry inside the house. The juvenile was charged with breaking and entering and then released to a relative. Cpl. K. Selkirk investigated.

OFFICERS APPREHEND THEFT SUSPECTS: On August 7 at 6:21 a.m., officers responded to the 11300 block of Teakwood Court in Waldorf for the report of a theft. The victim indicated his iPad and a digital camera were stolen from his unlocked car. While taking the report, officers were made aware of two other thefts from nearby cars. One of the victims was able to track his iPad to Gallinule Court where PFC E. Baker and  PFC M. Kelly  responded. They canvassed the area and located a book bag containing a GPS, a purse, a pair of tennis shoes and other miscellaneous items - none which had been reported stolen at that time. The victim continued tracking his iPad and told officers the tracking device indicated the iPad had moved to Shawnee Lane. Cpl. K. Selkirk responded to Shawnee Lane and observed two males standing near the woods. Upon being seen, the suspects fled into the woods. Cpl. Selkirk broadcast a description of the suspects and provided their route of travel. PFC Kelly drove to Shearwater Lane where he suspected the subjects would come out. Within a short time, PFC Kelly noticed the suspects run out of the woods. He pursued the subjects and apprehended Steven Lawrence Matthews, Jr., 21, of Waldorf. Cpl. Selkirk went to the area where she first spotted the subjects and recovered property which had been stolen from the three reported thefts. Matthews was arrested and charged with theft. The investigation is continuing.

person damaged the windshield on his motorhome. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Armed Robberies – On August 8th at 11:20PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in Woodbridge (22192) around 10:30PM. The victims, a 19 year old man of Stafford, a 19 year old man of Lorton and an 18 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that they had just arrived in the area above to attend a party. As the victims were approaching the home, they encountered three unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. During the encounter, the armed suspect struck one of the victims in the face with the handgun. The suspects took a cell phone, wallet and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victims before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. While investigating the above incident, a separate victim approached an officer on an unrelated call to report a robbery in the same location that occurred around 10:45PM. This victim, an 18 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to the officer that he was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded the victim’s property. After taking the victim’s cell phone, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim to leave the area. No injuries were reported. Detectives are investigating both incidents as being related. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On August 9th at 10:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10500 block of Deville Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Nokesville, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, striking her to the head and body. The victim was able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused.

Residential Burglary | Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony – On August 11th at 12:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11400 block of Bacon Race Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that three unknown men entered the residence through a rear basement door. Two of the men displayed handguns and demanded property from the six occupants of the home. The men fled the home as police were arriving in the area. No injuries were reported and no property was taken from the home. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. Detectives have determined that this incident is not random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary | Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony – On August 9th at 11:53PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Golden Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was having a small gathering at his residence when two unknown men entered the home through a rear unlocked door. Once inside, the men displayed handguns and forced the homeowner and three other guests to an upstairs bedroom where they proceeded to search the room. During the encounter, one of the men assaulted a resident of the home by striking him with a handgun causing the weapon to discharge. Following the altercation, the men fled the home. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the assault only. No property was taken from the home. Detectives have determined that this incident is not random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On August 8th at 12:37PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Forestdale Ace in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:45AM and 12:19PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear window which was broken out. Prescription medications and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On August 8th at 8:00AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10900 block of Wild Ginger Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on August 6th and 8:00AM on August 8th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A handgun, valued around $500, was reported missing.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery – On August 9th at 4:46PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 8000 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) around 5:30AM. The victim, a 13 year old female juvenile, reported to police that she was sleeping when she woke to the accused touching her. The victim reported the incident to her mom later in the afternoon who contacted police. The accused is known to the victim. No injuries were reported and there were no signs of forced entry into the home. The accused was located by officers and detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Destruction of Property – On August 10th at 2:18AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Galapagos Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to residence looking for another resident who resides at the home. At one point, the accused forced his way into the home and assaulted the homeowner. During the altercation, the accused damaged a wall and other property in the home. The two parties were eventually separated and the accused the home. Minor injuries were reported. Officers located the accused a short time later and arrested him without further incident.

Attempted Residential Burglary | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 9th at 9:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Lyon Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly call. The homeowner reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, attempted to enter her residence after breaking a bedroom window. The accused did not enter the home and was apprehended by responding officers without further incident. While investigating this incident, the victim informed officers that the accused had assaulted her the night prior. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
MONDAY, AUGUST 11, 2014 
 
UNLAWFUL ENTRY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 
Hillcrest Coin Laundry, 2012 Lafayette Blvd, 8/8 2:00 a.m. A customer reported that he arrived 
at the business around 6:50 a.m. and found the building flooded. A check of the security camera 
showed a male subject entering the building around 2 a.m. through an unsecured door and 
moving out of camera range into the bathroom, where it was later discovered that the toilet had 
been forcibly removed from the floor. The suspect was a white male in his 30s with medium 
length blond hair and a dark colored ball cap. The investigation is ongoing. 
BREAKING AND ENTERING: 
400 block Rann Ct, 8/10 4:45 a.m. Police responded to a fire at a vacant residence and found 
evidence that an unknown person had forced open the front door and set a small fire inside a 
room. The investigation is ongoing. 
INDECENT EXPOSURE: 
600 block Stuart St, 8/9 10:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown male subject exposed 
himself to her while she walking home. The suspect was described as a male in his 20s of 
unknown race and approximately 5’9” in height. He was wearing a dark colored shirt and khaki 
shorts. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
2500 block Carriage Ln, 8/2 – 8/9 8:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
the registration stickers from his license plates. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Antique Court of Shops, 1001 Caroline St, 8/2 – 8/10 12:30 p.m. A vendor reported that an 
unknown person stole an antique level from his booth. The investigation is ongoing. 
400 block Bridgewater St, 8/9 9:30 p.m. – 8/10 12:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person stole the GPS from his unsecured car. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
VANDALISM: 
Disability Resource Center, 1501 Princess Anne St, 8/8 9:30 p.m. A passerby reported that an 
unknown person spray painted graffiti on the front of the building. No suspects or witnesses at 
this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Lenin Prada, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana in the 200 
block of Kings Highway. 
Doneal Taylor, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI and driving while revoked in the 
3300 block of Fall Hill Avenue. 
Brandon Keirn, 21, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 2200 block of Caroline Street. 
ARRESTS: 
Paul White, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug 
paraphernalia, and providing false identification to law enforcement to avoid arrest. 
Terry Dalton, 43, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Prince William County 
charging him with assault and battery. 
Brian Dunn, 54, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and shoplifting from 
CVS. 
Michael Dunn, 52, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication, obstruction of justice, 
and shoplifting from CVS. 
Todd Wynne, 27, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana. 
Jesse Keys, 37, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication. 
Efrain Nava, 36, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and assault on law 
enforcement.
Robert Chapman, 30, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery. 
Richard Humphrey, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for probation violation, drinking while 
driving, identity theft, and providing false identification to law enforcement to avoid arrest. 
Robert Hissen, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Caroline County charging 
him with felony fraud.

**UPDATE**
 
Grand Larceny | Brandishing *ARREST – On August 7th at 11:44AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Ashdale Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a brandishing. Officers arrived and determined that this incident was in retaliation for the robbery which occurred the night prior in the 3900 block of Penshurst Ln in Woodbridge [see release below]. The investigation revealed the victim of the robbery the night before, identified as Tyler JONES, went to the home of one of the suspects, Corey SELLERS, on Ashdale Cir to confront him over the incident. Tyler JONES was accompanied by another acquaintance, identified as Landon JONES, during this altercation. During the encounter, both men reportedly brandished a firearm at Corey SELLERS. Another resident of the home contacted police and both suspects fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. Officers eventually located the suspects a short time later and detained both of them without further incident. Upon further investigation into the alleged robbery the night before, detectives from the Robbery Unit determined that Corey SELLERS and another man, identified as Christopher PETERSON, arranged to have Tyler JONES purchase marijuana on their behalf and gave him money to do so. Tyler JONES then reported back to the men that he was robbed of the money they give him. At that point, an altercation ensued which was reported in the release below. The Ashdale Cir encounter on August 7th was determined to be retaliation against that incident. Following the investigation, all parties were arrested and charged in connection to their involvement in the incidents.
 
Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On August 6th at 9:16PM, officers responded to the 3900 block of Penshurst Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that two known male acquaintances confronted him in the above area over a previous encounter. A verbal altercation ensued which escalated between the three men. During the struggle, one of the suspects struck the victim with a handgun causing the firearm to discharge. The suspects fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Before fleeing, the suspects took a firearm belonging to the victim. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the gunshot. The victim did sustained non-life threatening injuries from the physical altercation. This incident was not random.

Attempted Armed Robbery | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 8th at 2:47AM, officers responded to the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 29 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he and a known acquaintance were walking back to their residence, located in the above area, when they were approached from behind by an unknown man. The man immediately fired a gunshot which startled both parties. The suspect then proceeded to search the victim’s pockets before fleeing on foot. No property was taken and no injuries or property damage were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 12:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Augustus Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the accused came to his residence looking for another family member who resides at the home. The homeowner informed the accused that the person she was looking for was not at the residence. At that point, the accused forced her way into the home and assaulted the homeowner. During the encounter, the accused pushed the homeowner into a wall, causing damage. Another resident of the home attempted to separate the two parties, while another resident contacted police. The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving at the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Cruelty or Injuries to Children – On August 7th at 6:49PM, police responded to the Wal-Mart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a child neglect call. The caller reported to police that they had located two children that were unsupervised in a vehicle parked in the parking lot. Officers arrived and located the vehicle and the children, identified as an 8 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. The investigation revealed that the children were in the vehicle unsupervised for approximately 40 minutes before a guardian, identified as the accused, exited the store and approached officers. Both children were unharmed. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Narcotics Investigation – On August 7th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at 14757 Dyer Ct in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana, cocaine, handguns, evidence of distribution and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrests were also made without incident.

Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports
FRIDAY, AUGUST 8, 2014 
 
PURSE SNATCHING: 
800 block Sophia St, 8/7 11:40 p.m. Four females, ages 29-38 and all from Locust Grove, were 
walking back to their cars in the parking lot after spending time together at a downtown 
restaurant. The four had split up into pairs as they returned to their vehicles when one of the 
women noticed a man running in the direction of her and her friend. When the man got close, he 
grabbed the woman’s purse and pushed her to the ground with enough force that she hit her head 
on the pavement. The woman and her friend began screaming, and the suspect also grabbed the 
second woman’s purse and took off. 
When the second pair of females heard the other women yelling and saw their friend on the 
ground and a man running away, they started chasing after the suspect. The two women caught 
up with the suspect and knocked him to the ground, punching and kicking him as they tried to 
hold him down. The suspect was able to free himself and got up and ran away, but the women 
chased him down a second time. One of the women was punched in the face twice during the 
ensuing struggle. The suspect dropped one of the purses he had stolen and one of the women 
wrestled the second purse away from him before the offender once again fled. 
When officers arrived on the scene, an ambulance was called to check on the first victim, but she 
did not require transport to the hospital. Officers also summoned assistance from the 
Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. Officers searched the area and two K-9 teams from 
Spotsylvania County attempted to track the suspect, but he was not located. 
The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s, 5’7” – 5’10” and approximately 
180 pounds, and with straight hair that almost reached his shoulders. He was wearing a black 
tank top, khaki shorts, and a black ball cap turned backwards. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/7 8:00 a.m. A loss prevention employee reported that an 
unknown person stole a large number of used batteries from an outside secured locker. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
VANDALISM: 
Virginia War Memorial, 500 George St, 7/1 – 8/1 9:00 p.m. A board member of the 
Fredericksburg Memorial Area Council reported that an unknown person threw a large glass 
candle into one of the walls containing engraved names, causing approximately $5000 in 
damage. The investigation is ongoing. 
ARRESTS: 
Joshua Garrett, 26, of Montross was arrested for possession of marijuana. 
Myleka Murphy, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest, 
indecent exposure, and assault on law enforcement. 
Joseph Watson, 42, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication. 
Quentin Bryant, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Attempted Bank Robbery – On August 6th at 10:10AM, officers responded to the Bank of America located at 1708 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man on a black or dark colored BMX or mountain style bicycle approached one of the drive-up teller speakers and demanded money. The suspect indicated to one of the employees that he had a bomb in his backpack. No money was taken and the suspect fled prior to police arriving in the area. No injuries were reported.

                White or light skinned male, early to mid-20’s, 5’10”-6’, 150lbs with a thin build

Malicious Wounding | Abduction – On August 6th at 8:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Endsley Turn in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused repeatedly assaulted the victim, striking her to the face and torso. The accused also took the victim’s phone and prevented her from contacting police or physically leaving the residence. The victim was eventually able to contact police and the accused fled the residence prior to officers arriving in the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Described as a black male, 6’0”, 230lbs with a heavy build, medium complexion, long braided hair and a goatee
Wanted for abduction and malicious wounding
 
Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 5:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6400 block of Ashby Grove Lp in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45PM on August 4th and 5:30AM on August 5th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured basement door. A gaming console and related equipment, total value around $670, were reported missing. The homeowner further reported to police that the same residence was entered on July 31st between 7:30AM and 2:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Multiple watches, total value around $2,300, were reported missing during that incident.
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 5th at 10:29AM, officers responded to the Sheffield Manor Community Pool located at 12354 Penzance Ln in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on August 4th and 10:00AM on August 5th. The investigation revealed that during that time, an unknown suspect(s) entered the pool area on the property and threw various items into the deep end of the pool. The suspect(s) then entered the community building, possibly through an unsecured door. Once inside, the suspect(s) damaged a television which was mounted on the wall. No property was reported missing. Damage is estimated around $845.

Charles County Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
ARMED ROBBERY: On August 6, officers responded to Promenade Place in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Sometime between 12:15 a.m. and 12:47 a.m., the victims said they were outside talking when two male suspects wearing masks approached them and brandished what appeared to be a gun. The suspects stole a cell phone, wallet, hat, car keys and a shirt before they fled the scene on foot in the direction of Dorchester Circle. PFC D. Butler is investigating.

THEFT: On August 6 at 8:40 a.m., officers responded to the Residence Inn in the 3000 block of Technology Place in Waldorf for the report of theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that sometime between 8:30 p.m. on August 5 and 8:30 a.m. on August 6, unknown suspects broke into a vehicle and stole $6,000.00 worth of camera equipment and some other items totaling $300.00. The suspects also damaged the window frame of the car. Officer M. Cassarubias is investigating.

ROBBERY: On August 5 at 6:49 a.m., officers were patrolling the Bryans Road area when they were stopped by a citizen for the report an assault. The victim said he got off the VanGo bus around 10:00 p.m. on August 4 and was walking through the park when he was approached by four black males who assaulted him. The suspects stole his cell phone and wallet. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene. Officer M. Cassarubias is investigating.

THEFT:  On August 3, officers responded to La Plata Road in La Plata for the report of a theft. Sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage through an unlocked window. Once inside, the suspect stole three motorcycles and other riding equipment. The motorcycles are described as one red Honda CRF150F5, one red Honda XR250R with a number five sticker on the front and one green Kawasaki KLX125A3. The suspect also stole a black Diamondback mountain bike. Officer E. Gass is investigating.

DRUG ARREST: On August 1 at 1:30 p.m., PFC R. Kimble conducted a traffic stop on Rock Point Road in Newburg. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer witnessed the passenger throw a bag out of the vehicle. Officer Kimble detained both occupants and located the bag. The bag contained crack cocaine and marijuana. A search of both occupants of the vehicle was conducted and additional drugs were recovered. Randall Lee Loyd, 52, of Marion, Indiana was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Barry Conrad Cooper, 45, of Newburg was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, distribution of narcotics, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

DRUG ARREST: On August 1 at 2:02 a.m., Officer S. Hooper was patrolling the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel in the 3500 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he observed a suspicious vehicle. After approaching the vehicle, the officer observed marijuana in plain view. A search of the vehicle revealed crack cocaine and cash. The estimated street value of the cocaine was $2,000.00. James Thomas Neal, 23, of Waldorf was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and several other charges. Ravon Deyon Burnside, 20, of Lexington Park, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of marijuana. Officer Hooper investigated.

ATTEMPTED MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On August 1, officers responded to Bellwood Drive in Pomfret for the report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. Sometime between 9:00 p.m. on July 31 and 7:00 a.m. on August 1, an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle and got it started. After investigation, it appeared the suspect tried to back out of the driveway but hit a tree and then left the vehicle at the residence. PFC J. Foster is investigating.

THEFT: Sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on July 30, 400 pounds of used copper wire was stolen from a residence located in the 4000 block of Doncaster Drive in Indian Head. Cpl. R. Cadrette is investigating.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 6:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on July 30, unknown suspects gained entry into a residence on Cheryl Turn in Waldorf. Once inside, the suspects stole four flat screen televisions, purses, cash, a gun and ammunition. The suspects also flattened the tires of vehicles parked in the victim’s garage. PFC C. Barrows is investigating.

RECOVERED PROPERTY: On July 30 around 5:00 p.m., Officer J. Campbell responded to the 8200 block of Marshall Corner Road in Pomfret for the report of recovered property. A resident found a black laptop computer, Hewlett-Packard Mini 311, in the grass of his residence near the roadway. Officer J. Campbell is investigating.

ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED: On July 12 and July 14, two separate victims were assaulted and robbed in the 100 block of St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf. The suspects were identified as Delanta Maurice Coates, 27, of Waldorf and Mark Joseph Wallace, 28, of Waldorf. Warrants were issued for both suspects. On July 31, officers from the Warrant Unit located and arrested the suspects. Coates was charged with first-and second-degree assault, robbery and theft under $100.00. Wallace was charged with first and second-degree assault, robbery, theft under $100.00 and theft under $1,000.00.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 4th at 1:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. A neighbor heard the altercation and separated the two parties. The accused left the residence prior to police arriving in the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Kenmore Park, 1301 Kenmore Ave, 8/4 10:20 p.m. An 18-year-old Spotsylvania resident 
reported that he was assaulted by an unknown number of subjects in the playground area. The 
victim was unable to provide a description of his assailants. The investigation is ongoing. 
BURGLARY: 
Value Place Hotel, 1455 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/4 – 8/5 7:30 a.m. A construction site manager 
reported that an unknown person stole several spools of wire from a room inside the building.

Crash – Fatality Hit & Run *ARREST – On August 4th, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit received information about a possible suspect vehicle involved in the fatal hit & run crash which was reported to have occurred in the area of Vint Hill Rd and Broadlands Rd in Nokesville earlier that morning. Investigators located the vehicle, a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada, parked in the 15600 block of Vint Hill Rd, approximately 3 miles from the crash location. The vehicle showed signs of being involved in a crash. Investigators determined that this was the striking vehicle involved in the incident. Furthermore, the driver at the time of the collision was identified as the accused, Allen NOCK of Gainesville. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash. The investigation continues.

Crash – Fatality Hit & Run [Previously Released] – On August 4th at 2:49AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Vint Hill Rd and Broadlands Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a hit & run crash. A caller reported to police that there was an unconscious man on Vint Hill Rd near the area above. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim, identified as a 36 year old man, who is believed to have been struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe that the male was walking along or near the roadway when he was struck. The time of the crash is unknown and there is currently no description of the striking vehicle which fled following the collision. The vehicle was possibly headed westbound on Vint Hill Rd towards Fauquier County and should have extensive front end damage, possibly to the front passenger side. The identity of the victim will be released once notifications have been made with the next of kin.  
 

Crash – Fatality – On August 5th at 7:41AM, officers responded to the area of Aden Rd and Fleetwood Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2008 Buell XB12XT motorcycle was traveling southbound on Aden Rd approaching the four-way stop intersection in the above area. As the operator approached the intersection, the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet 4500 truck, who had previously stopped on Fleetwood Dr, was continuing through the intersection. At that point, the operator of the motorcycle attempted to stop; however, collided with the truck in the intersection. Investigators determined that the driver of the truck had the right-of-way in the intersection at the time of the collision. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Alcohol and drug use do not appear to be factors in this collision.

The operator of the 2008 Buell XB12XT motorcycle was identified as Jason V BANTON, 36, of Warrenton
 
The driver of the 2003 Chevrolet 4500 truck was identified as a 38 year old man of Manassas
 
Residential Burglary – On August 4th at 9:51AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Iona Sound Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on August 3rd and 6:30AM on August 4th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a basement level window which was broken out. No property was reported missing.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 4th at 1:39PM, officers responded to the Best Buy located at 2735 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fraud case. Employees reported to police that a customer, later identified as the accused, was attempting to open an account using fraudulent identification. Officers arrived at the located and made contact with the accused. During the encounter, the accused attempted to flee the business on foot and, at one point, pushed one of the officers and continued out of the front doors. The accused was eventually apprehended with further incident. No injuries were reported. In the process of fleeing the business, two sets of sliding glass doors were damaged. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary – On August 3rd at 10:10PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11800 block of Bacon Race Rd to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:20PM on August 1st and 9:30PM on August 3rd. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through a rear window. Two safes containing jewelry and other miscellaneous property were reported missing.  
 
Commercial Burglary – On August 2nd at 10:04AM, officers responded to Penny’s Auto Parts and Salvage located at 13304 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on August 1st and 8:30AM on August 2nd. The investigation revealed that entry was made in a warehouse on the property through a bay door which was forced open. Copper wire, tire rims, miscellaneous tools and other property, total value around $3,500, were reported missing.
 

 
Residential Burglary – On July 31st at 11:40AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Elsinore Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on July 25th and 10:00AM on July 26th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. No property was reported missing; however, the homeowner did note damage totaling around $1,000 to carpet in the basement.
 
Residential Burglary – On July 29th at 8:23PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Partree Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A laptop and other miscellaneous property, total value around $2,800, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 3rd at 12:36PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Gelding Pl in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 3:00PM on August 2nd and 12:30PM on August 3rd, entry was attempted into the home through a basement level door which was found damaged.  No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Arrests Made, July 28, 2014 – August 3, 2014
 
 
Theft
On 8/2/14, Deputy Collins arrested John Morrow, 22 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting from Sheetz.
 
On 7/30/14, Deputy Smeal arrested Hobart Taylor III, 31 of Spotsylvania and Krystina Frame, 22 of Spotsylvania for Petit Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny at Spencer’s.
 
On 7/28/14, Senior Deputy Medina arrested Lisa Kennedy, 43 of Stafford for Felony Shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
 
DUI
On 8/2/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested Amber Suwinski, 30 of Spotsylvania for DUI in the area of Battle field Middle School,
 
On 8/2/14, Herbert Fox, 55 of Spotsylvania was charged by First Sgt. T. J. Bryner, with DUI and Failure to Yield the Right of Way.  These charges resulted from an accident in the 5200 block of Mudd Tavern Road.
 
On 7/31/14, Deputy Morris arrested Corbin Bevard, 26 of Stafford for DUI, Possession of Marijuana and Driving Suspended.  The incident took place at Wendy’s in Southpoint.
 
On 7/30/14, Deputy Chad Polliard arrested Sean Flemming, 28 of Spotsylvania for DUI at 7-11 Tidewater Trail.
 
Narcotics
On 8/2/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested Truman Moran, 18 for Possession Marijuana and Underage Possession Alcohol in the area of Kilburn Crossing.
 
On 8/1/14, Senior Deputy Ridings arrested Scott Norman Griffin, 38 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substance and Drunk In Public, in the area of Courthouse Road/Rhoads Drive.
 
On 7/31/14, Deputy Hamilton conducted a traffic stop on Route 1, near Thornburg, for Defective Equipment.  Shannon Cassidy, 41 from Fredericksburg was released on summons for Driving Revoked and Possession of Marijuana.
 
On 7/31/14, Deputy Hamilton arrested Stephen Connolly, 29 from Fredericksburg for Possession with Intent to Distribute schedule I/II controlled substance at the Wawa on Harrison Rd.
 
On 7/31/14, Deputy Hamilton observed Johnathan Pendleton Jr., 29 from Spotsylvania, driving in the 100 block of Church St.  Knowing Johnathan’s driver’s license was revoked, Deputy Hamilton conducted a traffic stop.  Johnathan was subsequently arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (21g), Possession with Intent to Distribute schedule III controlled substance, and Driving Revoked.
 
On 8/1/14, Deputy Hansinger and Deputy Coerper charged Kord Krieger, 19 of Spotsylvania with Possession of Marijuana in the 5700 block of Castle Bridge Rd.
 
On 7/31/14, Deputy Handy arrested Dawn Scott, 45 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana on Brentwood Dr.
 
On 7/30/14, Deputy Polliard charged Amy Breyer, 28 of Spotsylvania with Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop at Arby’s.
 
On 7/28/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested William Kidd, 34 for 2 outstanding warrants for Possession of Schedule I or II Drugs. 
 
 
Arrests
On 7/31/14, First Sergeant Pittman released Donna Cutshaw, 49 of Caroline on a summons for Obstruction, after she tried to hide a wanted subject to no avail.
