Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports

TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2014
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
1200 block Townsend Blvd, 1/19 9:50 p.m. An officer responded to Townsend Square
Apartments for a reported disturbance between roommates. While the officer was speaking to
the male party involved, the female roommate repeatedly advanced upon the officer and at one
point she stepped in front of the officer and tried to push him out of the way with her elbow.
When the officer attempted to take the female into custody, she continued to resist and bit the
officer in the hand before being subdued by the arrival of a second patrol unit. Shenita Brower,
36, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony assault on a law enforcement officer and
incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The officer received stitches and
treatment for a broken hand at Mary Washington Hospital.

2300 block Cowan Blvd, 1/19 9:00 p.m. Police responded to the Commons at Cowan Boulevard
for a report of a fight and found a 22-year-old male in the parking lot with a broken tooth and
possible broken jaw. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital
for treatment of his injuries. Witnesses reported that the victim and assailant were inside an
apartment with several other adults and children when an argument broke out and turned
physical. The other party involved in the fight was still on the scene when police arrived.
Reginald Wester, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felonious assault and incarcerated at the
Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The investigation is ongoing.
7-Eleven, 1613 Dixon St, 1/17 1:15 p.m. Police responded for reports of a fight and found a 26-
year-old city resident with multiple facial injuries. The victim was transported by ambulance to
Mary Washington Hospital for treatment. The victim reported that a group of four or five males
approached him while he was inside the store and then surrounded him just outside the door to
the business and punched him repeatedly in the face and head. It is unknown at this time what
prompted the assault. A warrant has been obtained against Deontay Washington, 21, of
Fredericksburg charging him with malicious wounding by mob. Washington had not been
arrested by the time of this report. The investigation is ongoing to determine the identities of the
other individuals involved in the assault.

LARCENY:
1700 block Lafayette Blvd, 1/17 11:35 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole
the catalytic converter from his truck. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1000 block Princess Anne St, 1/17 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that
an unknown person stole his vehicle from a parking spot on the street. The vehicle is a white
2003 Toyota SUV with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.
Panera Bread, 1760 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/17 10:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. A customer reported that
an unknown person stole her wallet from her purse while the purse was hanging on the back of
her chair. The offender later tried to use the victim’s credit cards at area stores. The
investigation is ongoing.
Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 1/17 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A customer reported that an
unknown person stole tools and other items from his unlocked vehicle in the parking lot. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
Fun Land, 1351 Central Park Blvd, 1/17 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Two employees reported that
their cell phones were stolen from the employee break area. The investigation is ongoing.
1200 block Dandridge St, 1/8 – 1/17 8:40 p.m. A resident reported that a number of checks were
stolen from her checkbook. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Pier One, 3071 Plank Rd, 1/19 3:00 p.m. An employee reported that her cell phone and wallet
were stolen from her purse in the office. The investigation is ongoing.
Colonial Tavern, 406 Lafayette Blvd, 1/18 11:00 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown
person stole her purse from the back of her chair. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 1/19 – 1/20 5:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown
person stole the license plates from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
Kitchen Works, 2201 Lafayette Blvd, 1/16 – 1/17 7:00 a.m. An employee reported that an
unknown person damaged the windshields of two work trucks. The investigation is ongoing.
DUI ARRESTS:
Justin Fleenor, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1500 block of William Street.
ARRESTS:
Crystal Nelson, 24, of Lignum was arrested on a warrant from King George charging her with
failure to appear in court.
Jason McNeill, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Lisa Powers, 44, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and on a warrant from
Stafford charging her with filing a false police report.
Kevin Poole, 42, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him
with failure to pay child support.
Sherry Poole, 42, of Fredericksburg was arrested for failure to appear in court.
Kenneth Harrison, 28, of Fredericksburg was arrested for destruction of property.
Efrain Nava, 35, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.
Yuk Ting, 38, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Wegmans.
Devon Bornschein, 18, of Stafford was arrested for possession of a schedule I,II narcotic
