Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports

TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2014 
 
BURGLARY: 
1200 block Townsend Blvd, 5/19 9:00 a.m. – 11 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered 
his ground floor apartment through a window and stole all of his shoes. A witness saw a man 
leaving the apartment complex carrying a box full of shoes, and the victim recognized the 
description of the suspect as a friend who had recently been inside the apartment. Warrants were 
obtained against Lawrence Brown, 31, of no fixed address charging him with burglary and grand 
larceny. Brown had not been arrested by the time of this report. 
LARCENY: 
300 block Caroline St, 5/18 – 5/19 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
loose change and other items of value from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Shane’s Rib Shack, 1150 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/19 9:30 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported 
that an unknown person stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at 
this time. 
VANDALISM: 
1200 block Townsend Blvd, 5/20 12:55 a.m. A resident reported that he saw someone tampering 
with another tenant’s vehicle and the officer discovered that a powdery substance had been 
placed in the gas tank. The investigation is ongoing. 
ARRESTS: 
Jessica Buhman, 33, of Colonial Beach was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging 
her with assault and battery.
