A HUGE thank you to Crowbar, Down & Kingdom Of Sorrow mastermind Kirk Windstein for sitting downto chat with us this past Friday while he was in town playing the Metalliance Tour alongside Helmet & St. Vitus at El Corazon.

Listen to the full interview here.

Not only did we get a chance to interview the dude, we also dropped by a local watering hole, The Highline bar & cafe on Capitol Hill to show him something very unique about our neighborhood - a cocktail known as The Crowbar.

The recipe for "The Crowbar" is Habanero tequila, agave and muttled lime. According to the bartender we spoke with, the agave is the key ingredient, as the bartenders named the drink after it. One night, after they had closed the bar and were tossing a few beers back and attempting to name the new cocktails, Book of Black Earth and Skarp drummer/Highline bartender Mr. Joe Grindo came up with "The Crowbar" by inserting the key ingredient into the lyrics of his favorite jam by the NOLA sludge-masters.

"All I Had I Gave" became "All I Had Agave"

Agave = Crowbar
