Rape | Sexual Assault Investigation – On May 28th at 6:10AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cl in Woodbridge (22191) around 4:30AM. The victim, a 34 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep in her residence when she awoke to an unknown man inside her bedroom. The suspect was armed with a handgun and raped the victim before leaving the residence. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Two children were inside the apartment at the time of the incident and were unharmed. During a canvass of the apartment complex, neighbors reported to police that a suspicious male was seen on multiple occasions lingering in the area. A sketch of that person was completed. The investigation continues. Suspect Description:
Black male, unknown age, with short black hair, medium build, and an unshaven face
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and a dark colored jacket
Residential Burglary – On May 27th at 5:16PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Championship Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on May 23rd and 8:00AM on May 27th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Computer equipment, total value around $60, was reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On May 26th at 11:45AM, officers responded to Ham Radio Outlet located at 14803 Build America Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on May 24th and 10:45AM on May 26th. The investigation revealed that a large glass window was broken out. Once broken out, the suspect(s) reached through the window and a secured security gate to remove three radios and a computer, total value around $1,500.
Residential Burglary – On May 26th at 9:23AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Sterling Point Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30PM on May 24th and 5:00AM on May 25th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into an attached garage through an open overhead door. No entry was made into the main residence. Two bikes, total value around $2,000, were reported missing.
Attempted Burglary to a Church – On May 27th at 9:35AM, officers responded to Good Shepard Lutheran Church located at 15695 Blackburn Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. Staff reported to police that between 11:00PM on May 23rd and 9:00AM on May 27th, an unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the church through the front door. The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) broke out one of the windows on the door, reached through the window, and unlocked the lock. A separate door latch prevented the door from being opened. No entry was made into the church and no property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On May 27th at 8:24A, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Yale Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 7:30PM on May 26th and 6:45AM on May 27th, an unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence through a basement level window which was broken out. No entry is believed to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing.
