Grand Larceny | Brandishing *ARREST – On August 7th at 11:44AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Ashdale Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a brandishing. Officers arrived and determined that this incident was in retaliation for the robbery which occurred the night prior in the 3900 block of Penshurst Ln in Woodbridge [see release below]. The investigation revealed the victim of the robbery the night before, identified as Tyler JONES, went to the home of one of the suspects, Corey SELLERS, on Ashdale Cir to confront him over the incident. Tyler JONES was accompanied by another acquaintance, identified as Landon JONES, during this altercation. During the encounter, both men reportedly brandished a firearm at Corey SELLERS. Another resident of the home contacted police and both suspects fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. Officers eventually located the suspects a short time later and detained both of them without further incident. Upon further investigation into the alleged robbery the night before, detectives from the Robbery Unit determined that Corey SELLERS and another man, identified as Christopher PETERSON, arranged to have Tyler JONES purchase marijuana on their behalf and gave him money to do so. Tyler JONES then reported back to the men that he was robbed of the money they give him. At that point, an altercation ensued which was reported in the release below.
