BUCKCHERRY: You Can't Say This Title
Buckcherry don't seem to care about the FCC with the title of their new EP and single.
The EP's title is the curse word that rhymes with truck. That's due out August 19th. The single, which is due out in a couple weeks, is a cover of the Icona Pop hit "I Love It" that's been retitled "Say [Eff] It."
Buckcherry are taking pre-orders for the EP now at their website.

Catch Buckcherry as they return for Pain In The Grass 2014 Friday September 12! Full details here! http://bit.ly/TbeUo8

Pain 2014 Blog Godsmack ups and downs

Godsmack ups and downs.

We're stoked these guys have been able to work through their past issues, it happens to just about every band. See Godsmack at Pain In The Grass 2014! Dig full Pain details! http://bit.ly/TbeUo8

GODSMACK: Lucky We Made It This Far

Godmsack frontman Sully Erna says the band almost split up at multiple points over the past 15 years.
Erna tells Revolver, "At first it was just the learning curve of having the band hit big and being on the road relentlessly." He says that the fighting prompted the band to take a drastic step. "At one point we brought in therapists and everything to work with the band. Because we lost the brotherhood. We lost the love for the music and for each other and we were fighting so much. It was just a mess. Luckily for us, we got over some of those mountains."
Erna says the next time things got bad was when the other three members put out theAnother Animal project in 2007. He admits, "After the Four record [came out in 2006], there were times when Tony [Rombola] was really bent with me because he got to a place where he started to write more, and he wanted more of his stuff on the records... So we would pick half of his stuff and half of mine and try to make a hybrid of it. But for some reason he would take it personally when I didn't pick this song or that song of his. And so then the guys went and built a record [Another Animal] off of stuff that we didn't use but could have probably revisited later. And that created a lot of [crap]."
However, Erna says things are all good now. "We went through it, had it out and talked things through. And we realized that we have a really special brand here and it would be foolish to not get past this stuff... We're getting along better than ever. We're tighter than we were when we first met. And that's the god's honest truth."

Hey Tool fans! This explains a few things!

Tool fans! This explains a few things.
Tool live mannheim 2006
TOOL: Explain Album Delay
Tool have opened up about why it's been eight years since their last album.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Adam Jones and drummer Danny Careysay that complicated legal hassles have weighed on on the group, cost them money and drained away some of their creativity.
In 2007, a friend of Jones' claimed that he had created artwork for the group and wanted credit for it. The suit got more complicated when an insurance company that Tool believed would defend it against lawsuits turned around and sued the band over technicalities in the case. The band then filed a countersuit to defend themselves against the insurer's claims. Both suits are still going seven years later -- the case is scheduled to go to trial in January.
Carey says, "The whole thing is really depressing. The bad thing is it's really time consuming. As we've gotten older and our priorities have changed, it's hard to get the band on a good, solid schedule as it is."
Jones adds, "It's costing millions and millions and millions of dollars to defend us. And the fans are all going, 'We want a new Tool album. What the [heck]?' And you don't want to pull people into your problems, because they don't understand. But the point is, we're fighting the good fight. We're going to trial and we want to crush them. But every time we've gotten close to going to trial, it gets postponed and we've wasted money and time and it has just drained our creative energy."
As for positives around the album, the band has one 10-minute song that's almost completed. As for the sound, Jones says, "Sometimes I feel we get a little too proggy or too into exploring time signatures but not getting heavy enough for my taste. There are some good nose-bleeding riffs happening, and I'm really happy about that."

Sit N Spin The Songs of Summer from Billboard

Sit N Spin The Songs of Summer from Billboard
InternationalFountainSpaceNeedle
Billboard released an article about the biggest summer songs going back to the 60's. Then NPR.com added to the list for 60's through 1984. This was how they compiled that. "For the summers of 1962 through 1984, we looked through the June-August Billboard charts, taking note of which songs were on the charts the longest, in any position, and which had staying power at No. 1. It wasn't a perfect science, but we made our best educated decisions about which songs once ruled the radio and the cash registers."

Check out the full article here and debate away my friends! http://n.pr/1qyt9B6

METALLICA: Out-Fox Brit Crits at Glastonbury With Film

METALLICA: Out-Fox Brit Crits at Glastonbury With Film
Glastonbury Festival 2011
Metallica attempted to make light of some protesters at this weekend's Glastonbury Festival in England by introducing their set with a tongue-in-cheek seven-and-a-half-minute film. The protests came in reaction to frontman James Hetfield's hosting The Hunt, a History Channel mini-series about Alaskan bear hunters.
The short film, directed by Julien Temple -- who helmed the notorious Sex Pistolsdocumentary The Great Rock and Roll Swindle, among others -- seems to suggest that Britain's own sport of fox hunting is more inhumane than bear hunting. It ends with the four Metallica members in bear costumes shooting the fox hunters with rifles. Oddly, it begins as a tribute to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly actor Eli Wallach, who died last week, before abruptly shifting scenes to the fox hunt, accompanied by The Sweet's 1970s hit "Fox on the Run."
