OK...this looks awesome!  The Foo Fighters are planning on releasing a new CD in November, and it looks like there will be a TV show in the fall that will document the process in making it. It's called "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways", and it's about them traveling around the country and recording in a bunch of different studios.  It will be on HBO, so it should be good as HBO rarely puts out crap...hell, maybe they will cross streams and employ Woody Harrelson to help producer it and have Jeremy Piven be their manager...alright that's quite a stretch...but here is a teaser trailer for it, and it looks fancy!

Speaking of Dave Grohl and HBO, over the weekend HBO aired the Rock And Roll induction ceremony...which means that we were finally able to see Nirvana's performance in good quality (as all we saw were bootleg videos up until this weekend).  I have to say, they sounded amazing!  I absolutely loved their version of Lithium with Anne Clark from St. Vincent...

I ain't gonna lie, and I bet some will roll their eyes when they read this...but while watching them perform "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with Joan Jett I started to tear up.  I have been such a huge fan of Nirvana, and to see them on stage again brought out some emotions I didn't expect to have...mainly that I wish Kurt was still around.  I wish we got more than the few records and songs that they wrote.  I forgot how powerful of a band this powerful of a song "Teen Spirit" is.  Props to them for giving their fans a moment like this, and props to Joan Jett for taking on an impossible task of not only fronting the band for a song, but also for fronting them on THAT song.  She did a great job...

Can I just say....Dave Grohl rocks!  I met him back when I had bad hair, and he was so damn cool!
