Today here at KISW is Seattle Rock Day and we are excited. I don't care where you are from you at some point were a fan of Seattle Rock music. I think I have talked about this before but when I moved here to Seattle I was not the biggest rock music fan in the world so I started to listen to more rock and fell in love with Alice in Chains. Dirt was the first album I got and went through a year listening basically to that. I then went through all the appropriate Seattle bands like Soundgarden and Nirvana. I would mention Pearl Jam but they were so big that even I liked Ten when I was on the East coast. After going through a bunch of music and bands I think I would say that Mother Love Bone is my number one. I can put that CD on and just let it ride, CD by the way is how us old people listen to music when we were kids. So on this Seattle Rock Day I am also reminded of the greatness of Jimmy Hendrix and the king of the block in Seattle Maclemore. Seattle has such a great history and future when it comes to music. Always proud to live here and more proud to be a part of the city and its music
