Awards 2/27/13
So last weekend was the Oscars and I watched them. I liked the fact that Seth MacFarlane was the host and thought he was funny. Now as I said on the show on Monday I get all sides of the Oscar arguments. I do agree on one hand that it is just a bunch of rich people patting themselves on the back but on the same token we watch all these peoples movies so why would they not want us to watch them get awards. I would also say this that everyone gets a hard time sometimes and some of these people take themselves way too seriously. Look at Daniel Day Lewis (no relation to Ray) he won for best actor and known to be a very serious actor but was he upset with the jokes no he was laughing. Hell the guy was even cracking jokes during his acceptance speech. When I watch shows like that as well I start thinking about what awards I would like to win. I do think a Oscar would be cool since its a gold statue and is very iconic. I would just roll up to clubs and parties and say yeah I am on the list then flash my Oscar and walk in. A Grammy is gold as well but I can't sing so no chance of that one. Another award I would like very much is a peoples choice award not because it is a cool statue but because I like what its about and then I could call myself the Peoples Champ.

New Things 2/20/13
Trying new things is something everyone should do, but most of us don't. I feel fine making that statement because I am one of those people that fines something I like and sticks with it but in the last few years I have tried hard to try new things. Trying new things really doesn't have to be ground breaking things either, it can just be little things but go ahead and try them. Travel for instance is one that I am thinking about right now, I have a friend who lives in Arizona so I am going to vist him this weekend. Now I never really thjought about going to Arizona but why not. In the grand scheme of life who knows where you will end up or what will happen but I do know that I can fly to AZ and have a fun trip so I am going to do it. Miami is a town that I have never been to but this June I have a buddy getting married there so I am going. I know what your thinking and your right, I am doing a bit of a fancy tour of the USA. Scottsdale then Vegas in May followed up by Miami in June. I also feel like there is going to be a ton of pretty people there so I am just going to have to try and fit in. No pun intended with the word fit right there

LIfe and Seattle 2/8/13

So last night I went to the Soundgarden show, just starting with that because it was awesome. Sometimes in life you have to stop and enjoy the time right now and where you are. Now I know I blogged about Seattle a couple weeks ago but man I love this city. It was such a great week, 5 point, Queen city grill, Soundgarden, Rendezvous, Dick's on Sunday, wore a Mother Love Bone shirt. I have been out doing it big and when I was at the show last night I realized how much some of these bands mean to this city. I think about what cool things we get to do in this city and it makes me proud to live here. Hell it's not just the city, I was Anacortes a couple weeks ago loving life. I tell a LOT of people I love the West Coast but in truth I really love Seattle.

See that's thing about life sometimes is if you stop to enjoy right now too much it can hurt you but if never enjoy the now you going to hate life as well. I think that I want everyone to enjoy their lives and go do stuff. Maybe your reading this and saying, well Ted I have to go to kids soccer games this weekend. I get that sort of and would tell you enjoy those times as well because you will miss them when your kids are older and hate you. I am not saying everything is awesome and fun and trust me there are some not fun things in my life as well but hey if you and friend was a beer grab one. If you kid can score a goal teach them a celebration, life should be fun and exciting not just lived
