Today was a huge day at KISW! Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Mike McCready and Stone Gossard from a little band called PEARL JAM stopped by to chat with BJ & Migs about all things Pearl Jam, Pain in the Grass, and our great partnership with their Vitalogy Foundation

Here is the full interview:

I think my favorite part was being in the same studio with legends, especially legends who got their start right here in Seattle. You can hear the passion they have for music just in talking about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, what it was like to reunite with old friends and bandmates and really have their music honored.

Also getting to see Steve Migs get this awesome book of polaroids by Mike signed was pretty awesome too!

Another favorite part of mine was hearing how passionate the guys are about their Vitalogy Foundation. For those of you that don't know what it is, the foundation supports non-profits who work in the fields of community health, the environment, arts & education, and social change.

$2 dollars of every Pain in the Grass ticket sold this year will go to support the Downtown Emergency Services Center and the Bureau of Fearless Ideas. So literally, all you have to do is buy tickets you were probably already going to buy to enjoy some kick ass music, and you get to help out with such a great foundation, founded by Pearl Jam! Easy right?

YOU have already helped them raise $206,000! How awesome is that?!

Another cool part of the interview was when Steve Migs brought up the awesome Pearl Jam pop-up store that is right in my home area of West Seattle at Easy Street Records. Steve and I got to go check it out a couple of weeks ago, and I went again yesterday and found some cool local DVDs, CDs and Vinyl of live shows the band has played RIGHT HERE in Seattle, along with some special shows from around the country.

All in all, talking to the guys was awesome. Hearing the stories about now being IN the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, about finding and producing new bands, and a glimmer of hope for a possible Pearl Jam show in the future and new record was enough to get us going this morning!

Special thanks to Mike and Stone! Now get out and get your tickets to #Pain2017!
