Joey Deez Blog "Movie Music"

It’s thirsty Thursday! Seeing how it’s a bit early to start drinking, how about instead we get some nice refreshing news for our ears. The sound track for the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie was released this week and for those of you who missed the first movie, the songs were awesome, so the second is sure to not disappoint. What’s on the list you ask? “Mr. Blue Sky” by Electric Light Orchestra, “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, “Come a Little Bit Closer” by Jay and the Americans and….”Guardians Inferno” by The Sheepers featuring DAVID HASSELOFF! This is going to be freaking awesome. These are just a couple of the songs on the sound track and as if I needed another reason to me pumped for this movie, I’ve found one. This got me thinking though, what are some of my favorite movie sound tracks?

I’ve got to start if off with a classic, and because I don’t want to pick one, I’m going with the whole Rocky collection. Nothing pumps you up like the Rocky theme song. If you want to get an extra rep, run faster, or finish that last slice of pizza, no music with do you better. From there, I’ve got to go to my kid classics, AKA, Disney films. Loin King, Mulan, Aladdin, all these movies have some of the most fun, up-beat, happy go lucky songs that you can come by, and are sure to be hits after a couple of beverages at your local karaoke bar. Finally, I’d have to pick The Matrix trilogy for techno/sci-fi metal songs that set the bar for any kick-ass fight scene. I’ve watched these movies too many times to count and I still get pumped up every time a fight break outs. But these are only a few examples of awesome movie sound tracks, so what about you?
