A good entrance song is crucial in pro wrestling. It’s the first thing that connects with the fans and can round out a character for better or for worse. I could go on and on about some of the worst wrestling theme songs, but let’s save that for a different day. Here are my top 5 theme songs in the world of pro graps.

5. The Four Horsemen
While it may not be as intense, in your face and rockin’ as the rest of the songs on this list, there’s something so iconic with this theme. It’s classy and cheesy at the same time and it hits me right in all the nostalgia spots. This song reminds me of watching grainy WCW VHS tapes on a Saturday night with my dad and because of that, I can’t leave it off the list.

4. DX

When the crotch chopping duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H premiered this new theme song sometime in 1997, I was certain it was by Rage Against the Machine screaming “DEGENERATION!” Sure, I wasn’t quite on the money with that one (it was actually just a cheap RATM knock off), but there’s no denying that this theme is still a 100% certified banger.

3. Triple H – “The Game”

Triple H gained a million metal points when he got Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead to provide the vocals on this one. This song was my ringtone for close to two years when it first came out. R.I.P Lemmy !

2. Hulk Hogan – Real American

I can sing this song word for word by heart, and I’m sure there are thousands of 80’s to early 90’s wrestling fans who can do the same. This song was cheese-tastic in the best way and it truly encapsulated all that was awesome about the Hulk Hogan character.

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin

I’m not exactly sure what the true name of this entrance theme is, but hell, we all know the one. When the glass shatters, you know it’s time to throw down. This theme was badass just like Stone Cold and got me pumped every time I heard it.
