This past weekend we lost the one and only Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. "The Brain" was a staple of my childhood, as he was the loud-mouthed manager to all the devious bad guys, as well as the color commentator that sat alongside his co-host Gorilla Monsoon.

Bobby Heenan was a true renaissance man in the world of wrestling - he could do everything and do it well. When it came time to get in the ring, he would take some serious damage and make it look great. On the microphone he was sharp and witty with his own signature dictionary of terms and timeless one-liners.

Heenan had his first major break in the business in the AWA alongside heels like Nick Bockwinkel, but it was managing wrestlers like Mr. Perfect, Haku and Andre The Giant in the WWF where he was able to draw worldwide attention. In fact, he may be the ultimate rival of "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan, as Heenan was always on the lookout for the next bad guy to face off against the Hulkster. "The Brain" had a seemingly undying thirst to end "Hulkamania" forever, a thirst that continued as both personalities made their way into WCW in the mid-90's.

"The Brain" will be remembered as one of the most entertaining men to step foot inside a wrestling arena. He is a WWE Hall of Famer and a true legend.

To Bobby "The Brain" we say farewell ! May you be reunited with Gorilla Monsoon, doing play by play in the afterlife.
