We’re only a couple hours away from my favorite major WWE event of the year, the Royal Rumble. While WrestleMania is certainly the landmark event of the year, I always have a great time watching the Rumble. In addition to the 30-man over the top-rope main event, 2018 is the first year that we get an all-women’s rumble. And with only 18 women confirmed for the match from both the Smackdown Live and Raw rosters, we are guaranteed more than just a couple surprises. Here’s what I see happening tonight….

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Revival

The band is back together! By joining forced with Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are back in full force as the dominant tag team that we know they can be. I predict Gallows and Anderson pinning the Revival in what will certainly be a fun match to watch.

Winners: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik vs TJP, Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Drew Gulak

This match is definitely going to be a blast to watch, though I don’t expect it to be long. I love the athletic, high-flying style of Kalisto, Lince and Gran, but the well-rounded styles of the technical wrestling wizards Gallagher and Gulak mixed with the dynamic, fast paced arsenal of TJP will be too much to handle for the masked trio.

Winners: TJP, Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Drew Gulak

The Usos (Smackdown Tag Team Champions) vs. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin (2 out of 3 falls)

The Uso’s are wrestling the best matches of their career right now. These guys are killing it as champs and though I’m loving the pairing of Benjamin and Gable, I can’t see them taking the belts home just yet.

Winners: The Usos (Retaining the Smackdown Tag Team belts)

Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan (Raw Tag Team Champions) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the tag team of Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan won’t last long. I predict that we will see the subtle tension between the two come to a head tonight, causing them to lose the match along with the tag team belts.

Winners: “The Bar” – Cesaro and Sheamus (New Raw Tag Team Champions)

AJ Styles (WWE World Champion) vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (Handicapped Match)

With all the cards stacked against AJ Styles, the Phenomenal one will somehow, some way dig deep and put on the performance of a lifetime, retaining the belt and stealing the show once again.

Winner: AJ Styles (Retaining the WWE World Championship belt)

Brock Lesnar (Universal Champion) vs. Braun Strowman vs. Kane- Brock Lesnar

The common thought for this match is that Brock Lesnar will retain the title and face off against the challenger Roman Reigns in the big match the WWE has been building up the entire year, but I have a strange felling we might be getting a swerve tonight. I predict Braun Strowman to walk out victorious as the new Universal Champ, decimating both Kane and Brock in a true show of dominance.

Winner:  Braun Strowman (New WWE Universal Champion)

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

They did it last time the Rumble came to Philly a few years back and were treated to an overwhelming chorus of boos, but I don’t see that from trying again. I predict the “Big Dog” Roman Reigns walking out as the winner of the 2018 men’s Royal Rumble match, for better or worse.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

There have been a ton of rumors that Ronda Rousey will make her WWE debut as a competitor in this match, but she has shot these down in recent days. This match is going to be awesome and I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE switches things up and has this match headline the whole event considering the fact that it’s a landmark occasion as the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble. In the end, I see Asuka being victorious, as she is a true beast and can’t be stopped by anyone on either roster.

Winner: Asuka
