BJ & Migs L&L BAND OF THE WEEK: Whiskey Libido

November 15, 2017

Whiskey Libido was formed in 2009 by David Knowles and Todd Burghduff. David wanted to be the singer with Todd on guitar, so it began with a few good friends from High School as a cover band. As time went on it was difficult for David to commit as WL's singer due to the distance he had to travel, he wanted to sing for WL but just lived too far away. Later in 2009, Chris Allis auditioned and has been with Whiskey Libido since then and played numerous shows as a cover band. In early 2011 Chris Allis and Todd Burghduff parted ways with their first drummer and bassist and made the decision to write original music.

Shortly after, John Moore stepped in on bass and Corey Allen stepped in on drums with Jake Chapman on rhythm guitar. It was during that time Whiskey Libido landed their first major gig opening for Powerman 5000 at El Corazon in Seattle. Whiskey Libido did go on a hiatus for awhile until John Moore moved back from California and Jake Chapman left the band to pursue other ventures and they are still good friends with Jake. Sadly, WL's first singer, brother and good friend, David Knowles, passed away on June 26th, 2014.

Since John Moore moved back, WL went on to record their debut album titled "11 Shots" at Studio 04 with owner and engineer Michael Daily and mastered by music legend Chris Hanzsek. "11 Shots" is available, downloads only, worldwide @ Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, itunes, all the major online digital stores. With the WL line up now complete and back more fierce than ever, WL is now set to take on the world!
