The Bigger They Are...

Hawk on Hawk Action: SEA @ NYG: Review

October 23, 2017

Welcome back 12s!

Let's get right into what happened yesterday.

The Good: The Seahawks did exactly what I expected them to do, they followed right into the formula that they have always done. Hang back in the first half. Try different forms of passes and runs, work some damage control, then bring it in the second half. I wish I could be a fly on the wall to hear that conversation that gets them tweaked to be able to do exactly what is needed to in order to finish as strong as they did. I'm glad that Jimmy was able to recover after a rough first half, and my boy Doug was looking fantastic out there. Defense was strong as always, all around a strong win for the Hawks.

The Bad: the only bad is that I'd like for the first half to be a little more dominant. I suppose it's better drama for the game, but I hate questioning how good they are with such a gimme of a game, but at the end of the day, a win is a win.

The Big Picture: I think it's safe to address the harsh reality that the Seahawks are not the unstoppable force that they once were. They simply cannot barrel over teams like they did 4 years ago. Instead, they've figured out how to stop that kind of game, our clutch weapons were traded and injured and now the Seahawks have to work for the win each week. But on a positive note, they're doing it! They might not be pretty, but the boys are finding a way to come out on top of each and every game. As I said at the beginning of the season, there's not a team on the roster that I don't think the boys can beat, and that still holds true today. This team is still a force to be reckoned with in the NFL, and they will see a Super Bowl again. My pick for MVP of the game this week will be Amara Darboh! The man really came into his own in this game and made some clutch plays that kept the drives alive. I'm excited to see how this guy progresses with the team. Since I could not find a picture of Darboh, here's a picture of Doug Baldwin being Doug Baldwin.

Fear not 12s, there is still a dominant team to get behind here. Time to welcome the boys back home and take out the Texans. Let's rally 12s! Let's get to the post-season!
