Joey "Deez" Blog “Crazy Diets”

September 21, 2016

I love food. It doesn’t matter the time, the place, or the type of food, I could eat all day long. Unfortunately, there are certain repercussions to this kind of behavior and a yearly visit to the doctor’s office will quickly remind you this. BJ just got back from the doctors yesterday and despite losing weight, he must once again change his diet. Sometimes being on a low carb diet isn’t enough and now BJ must incorporate more low sodium foods into his diet. Now that’s rough. It isn’t easy to give up carbs but salt too? I hope BJ likes broccoli and beef because there’s not much you can eat besides greens and protein on that kind of a diet. Needless to say, he’s kind of freaking out.

I can feel his pain. I’m currently on a diet myself, high protein low carbs, and the struggle is real. It turns out that pizza isn’t on the food pyramid, or at least that’s what they tell me. Every time I look at one of those things all I see is a slice of pizza, so I guess all my food groups are technically made of pizza. The hunger games are real but this diet is nothing compared to a crazy fast I went on after a friend of mine made a bet with me that I couldn’t lose 10 pounds in a month.  I was eating 1200 calories a day for an entire month, mostly greens and eggs. That was one of the worst months ever, but I managed to win the bet after sleeping for 16 hours the day of the weigh in. Sometimes you have to game the system and burn all the water out of your body to make weight. I won $100 dollars and a new found respect for body builders; I have no idea how they manage to stay in such good shape with pizza and donuts everywhere.

What’s the craziest diet you’ve ever been on? Do you wish you could eat pizza right now?
