"Hola,

An 87- year- old woman was choking on a hamburger at a senior living center.   The 96- year- old man next to her saved her life by performing the Heimlich Maneuver.   It was the first time he'd ever done it but it worked.   The thing that makes the story interesting is that the guy who performed the Heimlich was Henry Heimlich, the guy who INVENTED it.

On the other end of the spectrum is a guy named Jake Jacubek.   He was the captain of both is high school and college swim teams, had set records in the 100 and 200 meter breast stroke... and then he died during life guard training.  He drowned swimming to a buoy.  No one saw that coming.

We asked WHAT WERE YOU TRAINED FOR, AND HAVE YOU EVER HAD TO USE IT?

Some of today's answers:

Trained as a firefighter in the military... put out a fire in a grocery store

Was in Boy Scouts, and while some of what he learned came in handy, the knot- tying, not so much

Performed CPR on his brother- in- law when he had a seizure.  The guy has had 2 seizures... both of them when he was around

Learned Arabic for the marines... sent to Iraq, where they speak an entirely different dialect

Trained in martial arts for 11 years... decided to volunteer for a charity boxing match... got his ass kicked

That pretty much sums up the day.

Until tomorrow, do what you do best and STAY BEAUTIFUL!"
