Rock Blog: Honoring Jimi Hendrix

December 13, 2016

Born and raised in Seattle, Jimi Hendrix is very much celebrated by our great city day in and day out. We even opened the first phase of Jimi Hendrix Park in the Central District! Although his career only spanned a few years, his music transcends generations and genres. As a musician, it would be impossible to say you weren't influenced by Jimi in one way or another, and this Saturday, there is a great tribute happening in Everett to celebrate the musical legacy he left behind.

Our friends in Windowpane will be joining Randy Hansen at the Historic Everett Theatre for one of Randy's Rock Tribute Acts honoring Jimi Hendrix. Hansen has mastered the art of replicating Hendrix's style and signature moves, playing a guitar with his teeth or behind his back.

And with support from one of Seattle's favorite rock bands, this promises to be a night of rock and roll magic! Fans of Windowpane should note that this will be the band's last show for the next five months, so you won't want to miss out!

Furthermore, if you have never seen one of Randy Hansen's incredible performances, prepare to have your mind completely blown. Not only is he an extremely skilled musician, his resemblance to Jimi Hendrix is pretty wild.

Tickets are still available through etix and at the Historic Everett Theatre Box Office.

Come celebrate the life and music of Jimi Hendrix Saturday night. Looking to the future, I know Mr. Hendrix would feel the Seattle music scene is in great hands with Windowpane leading the way.

Rock on,
