Rock Blog: Metallica... Goes Shopping?

December 19, 2016

If you’re like me, last time you ran out of food and absolutely needed to go to the grocery store, you groaned and complained as you put your shoes on, and trucked outside in the cold to make a quick run to get some more frozen pizza and 6-pack of Men’s Room Original Red.

Well, next time you have to go to the store, maybe Metallica will make it worth it. “Metallica, Danny?” Yes, Metallica. The legendary rock group decided to go to a grocery store and do a quick and impromptu version of “Enter Sandman” part of the Billy on the Street series.

Can you imagine, shopping for your weekly food and then hearing rock gods just a few aisles over?

Of course, Metallica released their new album “Hardwired . . . to Self-Destruct” last month, and have been hinting at touring in 2017, which will be the first time touring for the band in over 7 years.

Maybe we should cross our fingers up here in the PNW and they will show up at Pike Place and give us our own impromptu concert! Alright, back to my frozen pizza. Rock on!
