Hawk on Hawk Action: Back in Time

We go back in time to review a Draft Choice from 10 years ago

March 3, 2017

What’s up 12s!

The NFL combine is just around the corner so I decided we should go back in time.

10 years ago, 2007 The Seahawks drafted one of the most powerful nose tackles that we have ever seen. Brandon Mebane.

Drafted out of California from the Golden State Bears, Brandon was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2007 draft. At 6’1” and 311lbs, he dominated offenses for the Seahawks for 9 seasons racking up an impressive total of 349 tackles, 15.5 sacks, and 8 pass defenses.

Sadly, in his 9th season with us, Brandon had a torn hamstring that put him out for the remainder of the season and his time with us came to an end. And even though he plays for LA with the Chargers now, we still remember when he’d shimmy his belly every time he racked up another sack for the Seahawks.

But! He wasn’t the only fun player to watch that the Hawks drafted, we’ve got plenty to cover, but that’s it for now. 21 weeks to go 12s!

With that…Mike Hawk is OUT!
