Even though it's still a bit nippy here in the PNW, summer concert season is right around the corner. And, in my opinion, it's NO better time than now to be a rock fan. Why is that? ROCK FESTIVALS! Sure, some of them are scattered throughout the country, but I can't think of a better excuse than to book a trip somewhere and get away for an awesome show. Here are my top 5 bucket list concert festivals this year:

1.) PAIN IN THE GRASS:

And unlike what I said above, you don't have to book anything for this. As I am sure you've heard, #Pain2017 is coming back this year in full swing this summer. Plus it's on a Saturday in JUNE! What more could you ask for? Well how about photos with Rock Girls? Or a chance to grab a beer with BJ and Steve Migs and the crew, or how about with The Men's Room? Oh and music? KORN, Stone Sour, Baby Metal, The Pretty Reckless, and so many more. 14 bands!

The Men's Room Red will be flowing, the Uli's sausages will be plentiful, the Rock Girls will be hot, and all we need is you. June 24th at White River Amphitheter. Tickets and more info here

2.) Riot Fest

ON SALE NOW! Get your tickets to #riotfest2017 at RiotFest.org & Ticketfly.com now before prices increase.

Riot Fest returns to Chicago this year from September 15-17, and with a killer line up including Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Prophets of Rage, Wu Tang Clan, Jawbreaker, New Found Glory, and so many more, why wouldn't this show be on your list? It has something for everyone!

3.) The Vans Warped Tour

2017 @VansWarpedTour presented by @journeysshoes Lineup :: catch us on the road all summer long, coming to a city near you -- ⠀ ⠀ -- <link in bio> #VansWarpedTour #warpedtour #ForeverWarped

I blogged about this a few months ago when the announced the line up, but man, I am getting more and more stoked as June gets closer. Warped went a little heavier this year, and for a summer festival tour that is normally labeled as "punk rock summer camp" it's notable that this year you can catch Hatebreed, Gwar, After the Burial etc. Talk about a great metal and hardcore show, mixed with some pop punk and punk for the kids. It hits Seattle June 16th!

4.) Welcome to Rockville:

Tickets for Welcome To Rockville are officially ON SALE NOW!! Grab your weekend, VIP & GA tickets now! Make sure to buy early and save! http://fgtix.to/2gSTFqT #WelcomeToRockville #AllThingsRock

Looking for something a little more . . . warm? Welcome to Rockville happens in Jacksonville, Florida THIS WEEKEND! What a way to start out summer right? Soundgarden, The Offspring, Def Leppard, A Perfect Circle, Mastadon, Papa Roach. So many bands. If you get a wild hair, and want to go, book your tickets NOW! Otherwise I am sure we can all just watch videos and prepare ourselves for the concert season from home.

5.) Food Truck and Rock Carnival

It's finally here!!

The only thing I can think of that is better than a rock festival with Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, Clutch and many more is FOOD TRUCKS! Add food to anything and I am there. Happening to round out summer, September 1st, October 1st, and October 2nd, this needs to be on your bucket list.

What about you? What concerts are must do's for you this summer? Or are you seeing any good bands? What concerts are you going to?
