Hawk on Hawk Action: Pre-week 2 analysis

A recap of the Seahawks sending off the Vikings

August 21, 2017

Good news 12s!

The Seahawks continue to show some serious dominance on the field this year! I understand that it's still just preseason at this point, but even when our starters take the field, I am more and more confident in our boys' ability to dominate the season! I was unfortunately unable to get home before the start of the second quarter fo rthis game, which will no longer be a problem (Thank you DVR!), but I did manage to see a comforting 3-7 lead against the vikings early on! I was off in my prediction of 16-30, but it was still a healthy victory.

Watching the recap, I saw a lot of excellent catches in the first quarter that I missed, a couple of which from my boy Doug Baldwin aw yeah, But I do emphasize that they were great catches, and not very good throws. I'm glad the boys are connecting, but Wilson will need to tighten up his target if our passing game is going to be a viable option throughout the season. Other than that, like I said I'm very confident that the Seahawks are going to be a problem for any team that has them on their schedule. Major props to Alex Collins on some excellent play out there! Keep your eye on him, he could be taking someone's spot!

The biggest drawback of this game was of course the loss of George Fant. The man sustained an ACL injury, which tends to happen when a center rolls over your leg, and he'll be out for the season. This is a hard blow to the offensive line, and I'll miss seeing him there this season. He was a damned fine tackle that kept the pocket protected. Hopefully Caroll has an ace up his sleeve that he can slip in there. Have faith 12s! The Hawks will rise above this!

That's all I have today! We're hosting the Chiefs next week! The boys will be ready!

With that...Mike Hawk is OUT!
