How to Qualify
3. On or about July 13, 2009 at approximately 1:00 pm. Station will randomly select five (5) entries and, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the contest rules, those entrants will be deemed “Potential Qualifiers” in this Contest. Potential Qualifiers will be notified by telephone by July 13, 2009 at 5pm PT at the telephone number provided on the entry form. Station will attempt to call each Potential Qualifier at least 3 times between July 13, 2009 at 1pm and July 14, 2009 at 12pm. Notification to the Potential Qualifiers may be made by message on the Potential Qualifier’s answering machine/voicemail, with no responsibility for Station for any failure of the answering machine/voicemail. If there is no answer and no answering machine, Station has no further obligation to notify the selected Potential Qualifiers. The appropriate Station representative must speak LIVE to the Potential Qualifier on or before 1pm PT on July 14, 2009 in order to obtain and provide certain required information (“Qualifier Deadline”). It is a Potential Qualifiers sole responsibility to call and/or speak to the appropriate Station representative by the Qualifier Deadline and if that does not occur, for any reason, that Potential Qualifier will be automatically disqualified from any further participation in this Contest. MAKE SURE THAT YOU PROVIDE A VALID PHONE NUMBER WITH AN ANSWERING MACHINE/VOICEMAIL ON YOUR ENTRY FORM. If a Potential Qualifier does speak to the appropriate Station representative on or before the Qualifier Deadline, and subject to verbal confirmation of compliance with certain eligibility and other requirements during that discussion, such Potential Qualifier will be deemed a “Qualifier” in this Contest and will have the opportunity to participate in the Grand Prize Event.
4. Qualifiers may be required to come to the Station studios during regular business hours to pick up certain instructions, admission passes and/or other documents that will allow the Qualifier to participate in the Grand Prize Event. Failure to do so for any reason, as instructed by Station, may result in disqualification from any further participation in this Contest.
5. In the event that a Potential Qualifier or Qualifier is disqualified at any time prior to the Grand Prize Event for any reason, Station reserves the right (but not the obligation) to select an alternate potential Qualifier form among entries received, time permitting (“Alternate”). The procedures described in Section 3 and 4 above shall apply to each Alternate, except that each such Alternate may be required to comply with different instructions and deadlines communicated specifically to that Alternate by the appropriate Station representative in order to be a Qualifier in this Contest.
How to Win
4. ALL FIVE (5) QUALIFIERS IN THIS CONTEST MUST BE PRESENT AT NHRA NORTHWEST NATIONALS, LOCATED AT 31001 144TH AVE SE KENT, WA 98042 AND CHECKED IN WITH THE STATION BY 2:30 PM (PT) ON JULY 19th, 2009 IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE FURTHER IN THIS CONTEST (“Grand Prize Event”).
5. Check-in registration of Qualifiers will begin at 2:00pm (PT) and will end at 3:00pm (PT). Any Qualifier who fails to properly register and check in by 3:00pm for any reason will be automatically disqualified. Upon registration, all Qualifiers will be required to provide a valid US state or federal government photo ID, Social Security Number and will be required to sign a Release which, among other things, relieves and releases the Station, The Coca-Cola Company, Harley Davidson, NHRA and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, joint ventures, bottlers, customers, officers, directors, managers, and employees from any and all liability with respect to any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest and/or (b) the acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize awarded hereunder. Any Qualifier who refuses to sign the Release “as is” or fails to provide any other required information will forfeit their opportunity to participate further in this Contest.
6. At approximately 3:30pm (PT) all Qualifier who have completed check-in in a timely manner will have their names put into a random drawing and Station will randomly draw a name from among all timely checked in Qualifiers. When a name is drawn, that person will step up and draw an actual key out of a separate bin that contains five numbered keys (numbered from 1 to 5). After each Qualifier has selected a key, each Qualifier will then have an opportunity to try the key in the ignition of the Grand Prize Vehicle (see below) in the order of the number key they selected (from 1 to 5) until one key successfully starts the Grand Prize Vehicle. The person with the first key to successfully start the vehicle will win the Grand Prize. ONCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN STARTED, NO OTHER KEYS WILL BE TRIED AND THE CONTEST WILL BE ENDED.
7. If all the keys are tried and due to a mechanical failure, none of the keys start the ignition, or the ignition becomes damaged, the Grand Prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the event by means of a random drawing from the names of all Qualifiers who were present at and timely checked in at the Grand Prize Event.
8. All Qualifiers hereby agree to strictly follow all instructions and directions given by the Station staff at the giveaway event and understand that any intentional failure to comply with the key selection process and procedures at the giveaway event or any attempt to trade, purchase, or otherwise procure a key other than that which each Key winner initially drew will result in immediate disqualification. Keys are not transferable.
9. Any decision by the Station Contest Administrator at the Grand Prize Event will be final and not appealable.
10. In no event will any “deal-making” between participants be permitted. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any person that it suspects has participated in or offered or accepted any type of “deal-making” with respect to this Contest.
