The morning started off with us chatting about mistresses…based on an email/call we got from a listener named Angela, who was once a mistress. She sent us an email with a list of “Rules” to being a good mistress:
There are certain rules and no-no’s in this kind of relationship and when a man and a woman break any of the cardinal rules in this kind of relationship, no matter what your personal views are, bad things happen, like Women going bat shit crazy and killing the man….
1) Never expect the man to leave his wife and family for you.
All that does is put unneeded pressure on the relationship both the one with you and with his family. Just enjoy the time with him and realize that you are not his wife you are the “other woman”
2) If you cannot handle being the other woman, that means sharing him, not going on vacations with him, not living with him, but only get parts of him, sometimes in very secretive and small doses, than DO NOT commit to being his Mistress, that job is not for you.
3) DO NOT expect that he will stay with you forever or even for a long period of time. There is a reason he has you and perhaps its for comfort and time away from whatever is ailing him at home. But there may come a time when he wants to end the relationship with you and be with his wife faithfully. Any expectations that you have beyond this are unreasonable and being a Mistress is not for you.
4) When you are together do not use this time to complain about life, or to ask about his wife and family, use the time to comfort, love, have sex, and laugh. This relationship must be a comfort and place of freedom for both of you. If he wants nagging and questions, he might as well stay home with his wife.
5) Do not expect that if he buys his wife a new car or new piece of jewelry that he will do the same for you. If he does, wonderful, appreciate it and treat it as a lovely gift, but never expect him to shower you with these things.
6) DO NOT try and trap him into the relationship by getting pregnant or threatening to kill yourself. This will probably end up bad for you. You will either be dead or have a baby that you are going to raise on your own. He does not have a mistress because he wants something THAT serious; he has one because he needs the comfort of another woman, one who is not his wife or part of his reality world on a daily basis.
7) DO NOT tell your friends or his friends about the relationship. Be discreet, keep it quiet and enjoy the fact that you have this secret and leave him with his dignity, remember he has a wife and or family.
8) If he decided to end the relationship, do so gracefully. Thank him for all the wonderful times you have had, understand why he needs to end it and walk away leaving him and your relationship on a good note.
If a woman truly wants to be a Mistress, there is an art to it. There are rules of what to do and not do. No matter how you or others feel about the process the facts are that men have always had mistresses, you can call it what you want, concubines, multiple wives, poly-families. But they are here and they exist and if you don’t treat the role with dignity and respect than people get hurt, very hurt.
Anyway just some thoughts from a not so long ago mistress myself.

I do have issues with Lisa though…last time she was in studio, she showed us a video of a certain local celeb that texted her a video of what he likes to do while thinking of her, and I still have nightmares of it! Here is the video blog from the time she came in back in April:
Lisa surprised us with the news that she is getting married, and being that she has an autobiography called “Chocolate Please” coming out in September, we assumed that she was marrying a black man, hell...look at the cover of the book:
But that’s not the case…she met an Italian dude, or as she called him, a “guinea bastard.” His name is Jimmy, and because of a certain part of his body, she called him Jimmy Big Balls. Sounds like a good mobster name, and when you see a pic of him…it makes it fit even more!
So if you have been listening in the last couple of days, we have talked about how while we were at the morning show convention, BJ “C”-Blocked the Rev from a possible “love connection.” Well, BJ didn’t realize he did that until the Rev told him, so he decided to make it up to him by having the girl on the show. Her name is Heather & she is the producer of the Kevin & Virginia show in West Palm Beach (great show, great people)…we had all of them on the show, including their intern Annabelle. BJ offered to fly Heather out for a date with the Rev during Labor Day weekend, since that is when the PAX convention is happening (Penny Arcade Expo – a huge gamers convention). Heather said yes, but they didn’t want heather to come out here alone, so all of the girls from the show wanted to come to Seattle...including Annabelle, who wants to go on a date with BJ's son. Look at Annabelle...you think BJ deserves "Father Of The Year" for this?
Huge thanks to Chris Kattan for joining us this morning…we learned that Chris went to Bainbridge High School. Chris said he lost his virginity on Frog Rock! New Mini-Series on IFC – Bollywood Hero. It's a 3 night event, starting tomorrow, and running the 7th and 8th – 10pm on IFC (Comcast Channel 503 – HD Channel 699). Here is a synopsis of the show:
