BJ was in a foul mood this morning because once again he nearly hit a bicyclist while on his way to work this morning…today’s issue was that the bicyclist was driving the wrong way, towards oncoming traffic!!!!! I learned a lesson this weekend, do not drive in the Queen Anne area when Hempfest is going on. It was like a Zombie movie, people walking aimlessly in the streets not paying attention to the fact that CARS were driving by! What I found funny was when I was driving on I-5, I was getting frustrated because there was traffic at about 8 PM…nobody was driving near the speed limit…at best 55 MPH, it was driving me crazy! Finally it hit me…there was a bunch of paranoid stoners behind the wheel leaving Hempfest!!!! I looked over at a couple of cars, and I saw hippies in tye die shirts looking up at the rear view, then looking down at their odometer, while having both hands on the wheel…white knuckle style. It was hilarious, my lady asked me if that is a side effect of being stoned, to drive slow, to which I said yes…I remember a buddy in college that got pulled over on the freeway. He thought he was pulled over for speeding…turns out he was popped for driving 25 in a 60 MPH zone.
Today we spent some time talking about the Michael Vick appearance on 60 Minutes. I have to give props to Ron Mexico, he came off real good during the interview…fully accountable for his actions & apologetic. I was one that hated Vick for what he did, but he has paid his debt, and has done the necessary steps to be a better person. Hell, the Humane society have accepted his apology & he is now working with them to spread the word about dog fighting. Here is a taste of the 60 Minutes special:
