Double R wanted to do a topic today, he thought since the weather is nice…people might take a road trip at some point this summer…this made him think of some of his road trips & thought people would have epic road trip stories to share. Double R once went on a road trip when he and his buddies bout an alligator from a random guy for 100 bucks, and they thought they could “train” the alligator as a pet. Well at one point they put the gator in a box & put a rock on top of the box so it wouldn’t get out, but when he returned he found a dead alligator…apparently a raccoon killed it. Thanks to this topic, we got the greatest call of all time, from Ragnar (actual name)…we spent some time debating how to pronounce his name as he kept telling us it was either Run-Nor or Ragnar. Finally we got to his story…back when he lived In Detroit, he & a buddy went to a Grateful Dead show in Chicago to sell nitrous balloons…wound up taking a dose of LSD & ran around to find milk because he was told that milk will help bring him back to reality. The best part of the chat was that he never answered our questions, he would just say random stuff out of the blue, like: “Hey BJ, What do you think of Will Smith playing Captain America?” Huh? This led to us talking about how Scorsese is making a biopic of Frank Sinatra, and one of the actors in the running for Frank is Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx???? I joked that if that is the case, the Sammy Davis Jr. will be played by James Gandolfini.
