Day 805 (08/24/09)  Pain In The Grass

Huge thanks to everyone that came out to Pain In The Grass this weekend…what a blast…highlight of the day was Steel Panther…those guys kicked ass!!!!  Hair metal is back! The one bummer was that Slipknot wasn’t able to play…here is Corey from Slipknot explaining what was up:

Keep listening to the Rock & checking our site for details.

The morning started off with BJ pissed once again at Billy Ray Cyrus.  BJ is mad at his achy breaky heart because of this story:

Miley Cyrus's raunchy dance routine at the Teen Choice Awards raised a few eyebrows but her father Billy Ray says he approves of her behavior. The 16-year-old Hannah Montana star cavorted around a stripper pole during a performance of her song Party In The USA earlier this month. Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus defended his daughter saying her moves were all good, clean fun. He said: "You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing and songwriting. I always tell her to love what you're doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion. "I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they want to make and make it in their own voice. I think it's important." And it seems Billy Ray applies the same rules to his nine-year-old daughter Noah, who was recently photographed in a short frilly skirt posing with a pole at a party.

Here is the video:

So that douche of a guy, Ryan Jenkens, that was on a few VH1 Reality shows killed himself.  I guess that’s an admission of guilt for killing his wife.  I still can’t get over how sick this guy was…when they found her body, her fingers & teeth were removed so that her body would be difficult to be identified.  The way that they were able to I.D. her was by her breast implants…apparently there is a serial number on breast implants…who knew!!!!!  Is it too soon to suggest that VH1 put out a new reality show: “Megan Wants A Normal Guy That Makes A good Living That Won’t Kill Her”

Thanks so much to Alice In Chains drummer Sean Kinney for joining us this morning.  He was on to chat about something cool A.I.C. is doing this Wednesday --  A special acoustic show, and the only way you can go is to win the tix on KISW.  Every hour (from us to Jolene’s show) we will give tix away until Wednesday afternoon.

While Sean was on the show…we learned that he owns a wild cat as a pet (seriously)…and he used to have a monkey, which led to him telling us why he had a monkey: “Why do I have a monkey…because it makes my ____ look huge!”  We also learned that Alice In Chains wore snuggies while recording the new CD.

Sean gave us some words of advice….

“Don’t get tattoos of stuff you don’t know what it is.”

“Don’t buy an animal that can kill you!”  (FYI he told us his wild cat isn’t deadly…it’s 45 pounds)

Today’s video blog is all about our experience at Pain In The Grass.
