Some of us were a little tired today, but it was worth losing some sleep last night as we got to see a great film last night -- It Might Get Loud. It’s a documentary about Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, The Edge of U2, and Jack White of The White Stripes (as well as the Raconteurs & now The Dead Weather). If you are a musician, this film is going to inspire you to jam out some music, and if you aren’t a musician this film will make you want to learn how to play. All of us LOVED the movie, and I know this will shock some people…but Jack White stole the show. The guy is an amazing guitarist, and a fascinating person to watch & listen to…the fact that he could stand out above 2 guitar legends like Page & Edge is a true testament to how talented Jack is as a artist. There was a local tie in for this movie…there is a scene where Jack gets a custom made guitar that has a microphone attached to it, and it was made by Randy Parsons over at Parsons Guitar…check em out at: www.parsonsguitars.com

I asked her a stupid question…I asked her if ever in the midst of a passionate time with her man, has she ever switched into her Bobby voice to screw with him…to throw him off his game? During the interview he would break into some of his impressions…Lars Ulrich, Ozzy, Tracey morgan, etc….he brought up a great point…Tracey Morgan catch phrase “I’m gonna get her pregnant” is his “Git R’ Done.” We joked about how Sean Kinney of Alice In Chains owns a wild cat…Jim brought up the point that is such a rock star move…when he was a kid, he wanted to be a rock star so he could wear leather pants and own a kangaroo!

A new study from the University of South Australia found that women between the ages of 18 and 26 are more likely to buy clothes from an unattractive sales associate than a hot one. A woman named Bianca Price led the study. She says, quote, "Retailers often think that beautiful is better. In the same way they use a celebrity to endorse a product, they hire a beautiful girl thinking that it reflects the brand and that other women will want to be like her. It doesn't always work like that. Women may not consider celebrities a direct social threat, but they might consider the girl at their local shopping center to be one." In other words, women are so competitive with one another that they won't even buy something they really want . . . if the woman working at the store is better looking than they are. (Stylist)
