Day 810 (08/31/09) Toppy’s Drunk Texts!

Day 810 (08/31/09) Toppy’s Drunk Texts!

The show involved us recapping our weekend…BJ had an early B-Day celebration (his B-Day is tomorrow) as his wife surprised him with a fun night at the Salish Lodge & Spa at Snoqualmie Falls…he had a great time, at first he was nervous because of all the people that were at the Salish…a lot of golfers were there because of the TPC Golf Tournament, and the Jesus freaks were there too…including one person that had a vanity plate that said: LUV GSUS.

Double R & I went to UFC 102 in Portland this weekend…what a great event.  All of the matches were awesome…sadly Randy Couture lost vs. Antonio Nogueira by unanimous decision.  It was an epic battle between the two, and the chants of “RANDY” was deafening at the Rose Garden.  One of the best fights was a match that didn’t even make it on the Pay per View…the Gabrial Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer match.  The fight’s first kick was by Gonzaga that went below the belt & nailed Tuchscherer right in the sack.  This put Chris down for at least 5 minutes…they showed the slo-mo replay of the kick, and every dude in the Rose Garden moaned in sympathy pain when the foot connected to his berries…then Chris started dry heaving into a bucket, and finally did get up & eventually lost.  The crazy part is that later on we saw Chris just hanging with fans in the stands…he seemed like a cool guy.  The Nate “The Great” Marquardt vs. Demian Maia match was awesome…one of the few fights that I predicted right, as Nate laid out Demian  with an amazing KO punch 21 seconds in!  The Portland guys lost (Chris Leban, and Ed Herman).  The dean of Mean lost as he was schooled by another Silva, Thiago!  Speaking of Silva’s it was cool to see Anderson Silva in Nogueira’s corner.  I also saw Brock Lesnar at the fight, damn he is a big dude.  One of the highlights was thanks to our bud Rick Jones (From Goldberg & Jones -- Divorce Lawyer), as he was there & brought Ben & Ted from the Men’s Room.  For the last two fights (the Jardine & Couture fights), my lady & I  switched seats with Ted & Ben so that we could watch those fights from the front row…it was the coolest experience ever…thanks Rick!!!!!!  Watching the fight that close was surreal, everything seemed like it was in slow motion, when Couture punched Antonio in the face you could see the face shake & the sweat slowly fly off the face.  Check out how close we were:

All in all, props to the UFC…they put on a great show…hopefully one day they will take North  I-5 & bring the UFC to Seattle someday!

Based on what Tuchscherer made…Would you take a giant kick to the nuts for $10,000? If you saw what he went through…that would be a rough decision.

While we were at UFC 102,  Toppy was at the Foul Balls game, and went to the after party…he apparently got wasted…based on the texts he sent me while I was in the Rose Garden...these are in chronological order & sent over the span of 15 or 20 minutes at about 6:30 pm:

“Hey Steve…oh steve…I’m so drunk stvee…Hey Steve…I did A View…But Might not remember….I did a view…drunk…Again.”

“I’m so drunk…no ome come to post party but me…and I’m so drunk”

“I love you…LOL” (HERE IS THE PIC HE SENT ALONG WITH THIS)

“You Don’t know me…lol”

“LOL I Just sent rev a naked Picture of mme…lol”  (HERE IS THAT PIC):

“OH NOOOOO”

Speaking of pix…check these pix of me when I was 18 or 19 years old..probably 18, as it was my freshman year in college at Plattsburgh State University in New York…A.  Look at that mop of hair on my head, and B. These pix foreshadowed my eventual move to Seattle…in both pix I am showing love to 2 North West bands…Alice In Chains, and Mystery machine (from Vancouver B.C.):

The Mystery Machine shirt cracks me up as life hasn’t changed…I’m still trying to fit in an XL t-shirt….only now I’m on the larger side of XL nowadays.

Today’s Video Blog features another round of the High Voltage Challenge, this time you’ll see Rev getting tazed from a different view.
