(AP) A Kennewick man who apparently wasn't wearing pants has been accused of harassing a neighbor's horse. The Tri-City Herald reports the horse's owner spotted a bald man without any pants chasing the horse about 3:30 a.m. Friday in a corral. Benton County sheriff's deputies identified 26-year-old Brandon R. Hankel, who lives next door, as the suspect and he was jailed for investigation of trespassing. Deputies also had been called to the home near Finley Thursday evening when the owner saw the same bald man scaring the horse enough to break through an electrical and barb-wire fence. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue shorts at the time.
So tonight on Larry King Live, Chris Brown is going to be on to discuss what happened when he beat Rihana a few months back. We listened to some of the preview audio, and it sounds like he was coached heavily on what to say. I wonder who coached him to wear a powder blue bow-tie? Does that make a person more believable…a bow tie?
Only person that should wear a bow tie is a ringmaster at a circus.
So some people are accusing Pearl Jam for being a sell out for working with Target, as they have struck a deal to sell their CD only through Target. Well, Target is the only major store they are selling it through…as it will be available through independent stores as well (like Sonic Boom, and Easy Street Records), online through their site, and iTUNES. I think people that accuse the band as a “sell out” are idiots…whether you like their music or not (I personally love their music), Pearl Jam is one band that should never be accused of selling out…the band has always done what’s best for their music, and the decision to work with Target is a smart one…both business wise, and philosophically speaking. The band is all about giving back, and Target is a corporate store that is notorious for giving back. Hell, part of the deal with target is that Pearl Jam is also designing an organic T-shirt for Target, with all proceeds benefiting Feed America. The fact that Target is going to provide space in their store for a shirt they will make zero dollars is a solid thing that they are doing. Lead singer of Pearl Jam Eddie Vedder sums it up best: "We've put a tremendous amount of thought into this, and we've done it in a way that we think will be good for everybody. I can't think of anything we've ever done without putting it through our own personal moral barometer. Target has passed for us. The fans just have to trust us.”
I remember being in High School & accusing bands of being a “sell out” & by the time I got to college, it dawned on me…the only reason why I considered a band to be a “sell out” was that I was mad that a band that I considered “mine” became popular to the masses…I was mad that the people whose musical taste I didn’t gel with were all of a sudden digging on bands I loved. Finally it hit me…I want the bands I love to become HUGE…the more money they make, the more likely they will continue to exist as a band & create more music that I love.
We got an email from Scott, based on the chat about how stores like Costco are putting up X-Mas displays already…
