The morning started off with us recapping PAX—the Penny Arcade Expo…the site where the Rev & The Prodigy took their dates from the WILD 95 morning show in Florida. Apparently there were around 72,000 people that showed up this weekend to the Convention Center. This weekend was also Bumbershoot weekend…and you needed a bumbershoot (umbrella) while there as it was a rainy weekend. Now that wasn’t the only huge event going on this weekend…this was also the final weekend for the Grossology Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center…which was where I was. My lady & I went with a couple of friends that have a 2 year old kid, but I think my level of excitement for the Science center was equal to his. Yes…I’m 34, going on 8 years old. There were a couple things I learned while there… 1. I have the flexibility of a 60 year old man (you can do physical things to check your balance, flexibility, etc, while in the Science Center). 2. I am not impressed with butterflies…the room was too warm. 3. I am not a fan of children. Ok…not all children…just the ones where the parents let the kids run off and do whatever they want…kids kept cutting in front of me anytime I tried to check my balance, & reflexes…sure it’s a place for kids, but I paid for a ticket & am just as entitled to the fun at the Science Center. Finally…we went to the Under the Sea movie…which was in 3-D…now I get that the kids are going to reach out and try to touch the fish that appear to be swimming right in front of us, but when the adults do that they look stupid….there really isn’t a fish swimming in front of you, silly. Here are some pix I took from the Grossology Exhibit…made me think of The Rev for some reason…
So getting back to the Rev’s date…The Rev & the Prodigy took Heather & Annabelle out on a date on Sunday…they went to PAX & Bumbershoot, you’ll be able to check the date out on the video blog, but long story short…Rev got no action…no make out session. Here is the interesting part, and a valuable lesson…Heather said she had a great time, and if she lived here she would go out with the Rev again…and she said that he showed her a great time & if he did go in for the kiss, she would have totally kissed him. The Rev seemed annoyed with us…but here’s the deal…I think he learned a valuable lesson…if you show a chick a good time, stay confident & go in for the kiss…odds are in your favor that she will be cool with that. Plus you’ll never know if you don’t try.
Good Time = Face Sucking.
I almost got another ticket last night, but I got out of it for the most epic, and embarrassing reason. Last night after going to the Science Center…My lady & I went to dinner, and I had a Curry Bowl for dinner…it was rather spicy. I dropped my girl off at her place in Puyallup, and then headed north to Lynnhood…as I am driving, my stomach started making strange sounds…it sounded like Double R’s tapeworm, and then it hit me…I need to use a bathroom. I figured I could hold it, but then I passed Seattle & it started hurting bad, and it was hitting me like a punch in the gut…it was a rollercoaster of pain in my stomach…at times to would be fine, but then it would hit me in an unbearable pain…I then loosened my belt…I then fully opened my belt & unbuttoned my jeans…I was sweating….holding the seatbelt away from my stomach because the pressure was killing me. Next thing I see are lights behind me…crap…I was doing about 72 mph on I-5 (I have been real good with not speeding recently, but time was not on my side in this situation)…the cop comes up, and when he asked me how I was, I said “not good officer…I know this sounds ridiculous, but if you don’t let me go…I’m gonna crap my pants!” I then explained to him how crucial it was to let me get home…and he saw what was up with my belt & jeans, and the fact that sweat was dripping down my forehead….he looked at me…laughed & said good luck and keep it under the speed limit! I’ve heard stories of people that make up elaborate stories to get out of a ticket, but I’ve never pulled that kind of a move with the cops when I get pulled over, so I think Karma paid off for me & I got home successfully.
