Day 819 (09/14/09) Kanye The Ultimate Heel!
Kanye West is a marketing genius. He is a gay fish as well...
Why is he a marketing genius...well, last night when I got home from the Hawks game, I went on Facebook to see what fun status updates my friends have posted about the game...then I realized something...a lot of the comments I was reading said stuff like "Kanye is a d**k," "F**k Kanye," "Kanye is a douche," etc...I had no idea what anyone was talking about, and then it hit me...the VMA's were last night. immediately, Kanye is a genius for that simple fact. Look--I'm not denying he was a douche for it, but I don't hate him for it....why would I? I'm 34 years old...I could care less about the VMA's...most of the artists they are paying tribute too are no longer on my radar...yes, I am officially old. But do I really care to watch some chick from The Hills go up and present an "award"?? Short of Kurt Cobain coming back from the grave, and reuniting with Nirvana so that Krist Noveselic can toss his bass up in the air and let it land on his head...I have no interest in watching that award show.
So I finally go online and look for what Kanye did...holy crap was it hilarious:
Why was it hilarious? Because this isn't the first time he did this...I kinda wish Kanye would interrupt all award shows, even ones he isn't a part of. Another reason why Kanye is a genius...Kanye breathed life into what was probably a dull show...he got people talking...on Facebook, on the net, as the kicker to the news, it was everywhere! Taylor Swift winning an award would have not been a big deal...Kanye made it a big deal. hate on him all you want, but the 2 people that should thank Kanye for what he did is: MTV, and Taylor Swift. You don't think she is going to sell a few more CD because of this? You don't think her "likeability factor" just went up a few notches? Which isn't a bad thing in the world of country music. Kanye would be the ultimate heel if he was a professional wrestler...he made the baby face (Taylor) look great. Taylor Swift was already a HUGE country music star, and now she has crossed over even more than when she graced the cover of Rolling Stone. He made people want to watch the VMA's. Hell, myself included...I DVR'd the rebroadcast of the VMA's last night so I can watch it later today. Kanye is a Gay Marketing Genius Fish.
Yesterday was a great day...the Hawks won. Yes, they were playing the lowly Rams, but with the exception of the 1st quarter...they looked awesome. Correction...The defense looked fierce all 4 Quarters, the offence definitely looked rusty. Can I just say John Carlson is the man...that kid is a star in the making!!!!! Couple of random things I noticed…There was a guy behind me yelling after Jim Mora failed a challenge on a play, only the dude behind me was yelling “You suck Holmgren…Holmgren you need to go!!!!” Finally I had to look at the guy & say…”Dude, Holmgren is no longer the coach of the team.” He looked puzzled, and drunkenly asked: “Really? Who is the coach?” it was awesome! Another thing I noticed…and I think this should be a Men’s Room Rule. There should be a rule that states there should be no Public Displays Of Affection With 2 Heterosexual men. During the game…these 2 guys were probably embraced for the majority of the game. Look...I am down with the quick bro-hug, but when your arm is around another dude for a long period of time…that’s disturbing. This one guy had his arm draped around this other guy…talking probably 2 or 3 inches from that guys face…shoving his face into that guys neck, and at one point as he pulled away, and as he pulled away from the guy he rubbed the guys back & then SCRATCHED the guys back too. WOW! Why is it that when drunk meathead guys get drunk, they get gay on each other.
