SEATTLE ROCK BAND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR FANS TO HELP MAKE THEM ROCKSTARS
SEATTLE, Washington (May 16, 2012) Seattle rock band Riot In Rhythm have been gaining momentum since completing the first four episodes of their reality docu-style show, "Riot In Rhythm: The Making of Rockstars". The show is similar to Vh-1's "Behind The Music" only it will show the band before they are famous. Riot in Rhythm are slated to hit the The Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles in June and will be touring while filming from clubs to colleges. They are asking fans, friends, family and anyone else interested in helping to invest in their future to do so via Kickstarter.com.
The band, half of which are still in their teens, look forward to touring and filming in an effort to make it in the music business.
Their music video for "What I've Become" has won several awards bringing attention to these young men as well as helped them earn a spot to perform on Seattle's NBC Affiliate King 5's "New Day Northwest".

Seattle, Washington's Akimbo will soon be calling it quits after roughly fourteen years together. Frontman Jon Weisnewski has issued the following explanation:
We decided to stop playing because Aaron [Walters, guitar] is leaving the band for non-dramatic reasons. He just wants to do other stuff. Nat [Damm, drums] and I are completely busy/fulfilled with our various other projects and see no need to drag you people through any more nonsense than you deserve. Also, Aaron is really good, and rather than try and outshine his contributions we'd rather be lazy and just do other bands... The decision was totally boring.
